Chapter 27, A fight to the death

Lucas could not believe the guts of Derrick to do something like that to Kayla. They were even supposed to keep their identity a secret but for Derrick to use such a metaphor for Kayla was him almost revealing their identity to her. He was so angry that he felt like his wolf was going to burst out of him.

A part of him worried too. The only humans that Derrick had ever revealed his identity to were humans that he ended up killing. He was an asshole but he wasn't stupid. What if he was planning to kill Kayla? It was either that or he was seriously messing with him.

'you should just kill him' his wolf told him and growled inside of him.

But Lucas knew he could not just kill Derrick in cold blood even though he wished he could, he was not a killer but yet he would do anything it takes to keep Kayla safe.

What was he going to do to get Derrick to leave Kayla alone. He had already breached their agreement and broken his promise. He could no longer take his nonsense, he thought as
