“You still haven’t answered. Why did you do all this?” Abram asked, clenching his jaw.

“Baby, care to explain how he learned about you staying here?” Instead of replying to Abram’s question, Elijah grazed his lips over her neck in a deliberately slow move.

Myra’s chest heaved in dread recollecting his earlier warning. After staying with him for three months and seeing craze in his eyes for her, she was aware of where her silence would land her and Abram.
