Chapter 3 At the cost of my virginity

Cynthia’s POV

“Jenny, I didn’t do it on purpose. You’re so kind and generous, you’ll forgive me, right?”

I tried her best to imitate Jenny’s usual expression and tone of voice.

Jenny was disgusted by me, but she couldn’t ruin her image in front of so many people, so she could only squeeze out a smirk and nod her head.

“You are so nice.” I said with a smile, “Come here, Jenny, let me see your face. I really feel guilty. Look at your beautiful face, it’s so swollen.”

“Oh my Goddess, how could it be like this? How could I have hit your face so badly when my wrist was injured and I couldn’t put any strength into it?”

Jenny found a chance to start acting again. She said in surprise, “Cynthia, why did you ask like that? “

“Did you suspect that I hit myself and made the bruises more obvious on purpose? Cynthia, Why do you think of me like that? Am I a dishonest girl in your mind?”

Alice, who had been quiet for a long time, also spoke up, “Cynthia, please don’t say that, some words are pretty hurtful. Jenny is a nice and sincere girl, she doesn’t deserve to be suspected.”

Instead of choosing to argue with them, I flung myself into Daniel’s arms and asked him for help.

Jenny almost cried with jealousy when she saw I and Daniel acting so intimately, but she had to control herself. She couldn’t reveal her relationship with Daniel.

I deliberately put my hand in front of Luna, “Mom, will you help me clip my nails later? I scratched Jenny and I feel sorry about it.”

Luna grabbed my hand for a closer look and asked in confusion, “Your nails are short, there’s no need to clip them. It’s weird, how did you scratch Jenny like that with such short nails?”

Jenny lowered her head in a sheepish mood and used her hair to cover the scratch.

His words, spoken with the authority of an Alpha, made Alice bite her lower lip in embarrassment.

The Alpha was reminding her that she was an outsider. She should recognize herself for what she was and not meddle.

She and Daniel are both rogues. Rosebud Pack was able to take them in and could choose to let them go at any time.

Pete fancies Alice and can’t help but speak up for her, “Father, actually Alice is acting out of good intentions...”

“Did I say she was acting out of malice?”

Daniel sensed that Alpha was angry, and he quickly said, “You are right, father. Jenny and Cynthia have a good relationship, and everything is just a misunderstanding. We should not make wild guesses. Cynthia must be tired, she needs to go back to the room and have a rest. Let’s not disturb her anymore.”

Everyone left. Jenny and Alice went fastest. They both didn’t wait for Daniel and seemed angry.

Father and mother went to their rooms to rest. I intentionally tugged on my brother’s sleeve and asked him to stay.

“Pete, I have a question for you, please answer me honestly. Are there serious demonstrations out here?”

Pete sighed, “Yes. The residents of our Pack are panicking when they hear that the rosebud pack has been removed from The Lycan Kingdom. What’s worse, there seemed to be rogues mixed in with the protest marchers. They seized the opportunity to rob and caused a fight.”

I furrowed my brow. The thing I had feared most had happened.

It turned out that the situation was much more severe than I had imagined. The Rebel Army was already messing with the Rosebud pack at this point in time.

Not understanding what I was thinking, Pete awkwardly reassured me in his own way, “My sweet girl, please don’t worry and don’t overly blame yourself. I know you didn’t mean to cause this situation, you just wanted to pursue true love.”

“Although others do not understand why you do not love The Lycan King but love the rogue, I can completely understand you.”

“Love is great. Love just has the magic of making people lose their minds. No matter what happens in the future, father and I are by your side. We’ll protect you and Mom, always.”

I couldn’t bear to tell my optimistic brother what would happen in the future.

Half a month later, Pete would be attacked by rogues on his way home. He broke his legs, and his wounds were infected with wolfsbane. The wolfsbane will make him gradually lose his mind.

Six months later, he goes completely insane and kills our mother by accident. Out of remorse, he locked himself in the dark cellar, never daring to see me again.

I closed my eyes to calm down, then continued to ask, “One more question. Pete, do you love Alice?”

Pete’s ears turned red immediately, and he nodded, “Yes, I love her as much as you love Daniel. She’s brave and righteous. She is the most special girl I’ve ever met. But don’t let her know now. I haven’t figured out how to go for her yet.”

Seeing Pete’s love-filled shining eyes, I completely gave up on telling Pete the hard truth.

Even if I told Pete that Alice might also be a member of the rebel army, Pete would not believe it.

Besides, there are ears through the walls. I could not guarantee that no one was listening to their every word.

I had to keep this a secret. I could only turn to someone who wasn’t part of the Rosebud pack now.

Yes, only he, The Lycan King.

Only he could help her save Rosebud pack.

The Lycan King should still be in town by now. It’s dark, and he must be staying at the most luxurious hotel in town. He would leave for the palace the next day.

As long as The Lycan King is willing to forgive me or marry me, Daniel will not dare let the rebels deal with the Rosebud pack again.

It was late at night, and the whole Pack fell asleep. The moon was obscured by dark clouds.

I got out of the covers quietly, turned into a wolf shape, and ran towards the town as fast as possible.

I could save Rosebud pack as long as I begged The Lycan King’s understanding before dawn.

I swore that I would do anything to get The Lycan King to vent his anger, even at the cost of my virginity or life.
