Chapter Two

Because of his childish personality, I had no choice but to accept his job offer as his secretary.

I can still feel my lips tingling with rage right now.

How can I turn down his offer? He threatens to fire Anica's husband, who works for him. And he even threatened to close the Coffee Shop I work in if I refused to be his secretary.

And now, here I am the newly appointed secretary for the CEO and this company has a lot of paperwork to complete.

The work environment is so suffocating!  I'm already exhausted and angry just by seeing all the paper works.

It must feel good to release this frustration by punching his handsome face and smacking his perfect body.

"Ms. Caasi!" I sigh in despair, he's calling me again.

He calls me every now and then, enough to make my knee numb from walking. He's such a clingy Boss.

I threw down my pen on my desk and stormed into his office.

As soon that I open the door to his office, I saw Eugene Clark Ibanyez, my gorgeous and attractive boss slash a jerk, on the other hand, is sitting in his chair arrogantly.

"What's your problem?" I ask, uninterested .

He glared angrily at me, and all I could do was raise my brows as I faced him.

Why should I address him as Sir and show him respect?

It was not my choice to be hired here. It would be preferable if he fired me, I want to return to the coffee shop and continue to work there.

I'm sick of office work; I've done it a million times before.

I noticed him walking in front of me, he smirked while watching my annoyed expression, he pointed at me and said,

"You know? You have no respect." I grinned and moved closer to him at the same time.

I reach for his hand and place it in my mouth while staring at him.

I'm not sure if I'm hallucinating, but his blushing face is so cute. When I smell the scent of his hand, a playful smile escapes my lips.

"W-what are you d-doing?" he stammered, like a highschool girl, ugh! He's so cute that I want to tease him even more...

"Why? I'm just..." I didn't take my gaze away from his eyes as I slowly opened my mouth and brought his thumb into my mouth, his eyes widening.

Why won't you run if you're shy? dummy.

"Ouch! Why did you bite me?" he yelled, and I laughed and ignored him.

I went to the table when I saw the pizza box. I noticed him staring at his thumb as I walked away; did I bite it too hard? Nah, his skin is thick, so it's fine.

"Wow, Pepperoni!" I exclaimed, taking one and blowing it up. It's really tasty, and I gave Uge a thumbs up because he didn't forget to request an extra cheese.

"Give me a bite," he said as he sat down next to me on the sofa. I quickly took a second slice and swallowed it.

It's absolutely delicious!

"Hey hey! I want to eat too!" he yells, trying to shake my arms like a child.

"Then get yourself one and eat it," I said pointing the food.

"I don't want to; I want you to feed me." I eat the pizza; and roll my eyes on him.

"You know, I can't really understand you; sometimes I wonder if you're a three-year-old baby and I'm your mother; as I recall, I'm your secretary, not your mother!" I keep talking while getting him a slice.

When I heard his small laugh, I glared at him.

"And your laughing? tsk., here, Ah," I said as I placed the pizza in his mouth; he opened his mouth happily and there it was.... I even feed him his food.

"You should learn to eat by yourself—" my eyes widened, I grabbed a pillow and smacked him.

He immediately gives me water after noticing that I am choked by my food.

"See? that's what you get while scolding me and kepp talking whole eating. Are you okay now?" he ask gently tapping my back.

"See, that's what you get for scolding me and talking while eating; are you okay now?" he asks softly, tapping my back.

My heart skipped a beat when I heard how gently and caring his voice was just now... I fix my gaze on his enticingly handsome face.

"Handsome," I blurted out, still staring at his face; he then smiled at me and ate the pizza proudly.

When I realized what the hell I said, my face started to heat up.

"Handsome? Well, haha yeah... I know," he proudly said, acting as if it was a small thing and he's overused to being called like that!

"Your handsomeness was there for a second, but now it's gone!" I yelled randomly as a defense.

"Sure," he said coolly.

Argh! Just kill me now. When I heard his loud laugh that echoed throughout the office, I covered my face.

"I'm so tired, I want to quit."

"You can't,"

"Psh, you shamelessly drag me here to suffer with you! I'm so fed up with all the paper works."

"You're so over acting, quit it your not cute."

"Dumbass. Just get a new secretary, stop torturing me using some boring meetings."

"You know, even if I want to I can't hire anyone to be my secretary. My secretary slash my ex-girlfriend broke up on me, left me without any explanation. She left me wondering why? why did she live? did I do something wrong? Am I not a good boyfriend? Did I unconsciously hurt her? I don't know. I feel like I'm left in the middle of the darkness, helplessly crawling to find the exit." I could hear the agony in his voice as he tried to express his pain I front of me.

"If you don't want to hire a secretary, why am I here?"

"Pfft. I don't know why either," he laughs, staring at my face.

"Hey! Quit laughing. I'm seriously asking why me? You're messing with my peaceful life, so you should explain why."

From smiling his face softens still looking at me. My breathing stop as we remain silent, my brows lift when I saw his gentle smile.

"I honestly don't know how to answer your question Laura. I'm not sure why I offer you this job... I'm not sure why I want you to stay by my side, but now I can say that the reason why I force you to be my secretary is because... I want you to be here with me. You saved me from drowning in pain, you became my friend I can always depend on. It's just... you're different than anyone else."

I did buy that explanation of him because I thought he was cute at the time. He's so evil that he's using his face to keep me by his side.
