Chapter Eighty-five

[Third person's point of view]

"What memory?"

Eugene forced a smile when he saw the doctor and his wife. He approached Laura's bed and gently brushed the hair that had fallen from her brow. Laura raised her head and smiled before responding.

"I'm not sure if I remember that correctly, maybe I just made it up out of curiosity," Laura shrugged after telling her husband the memory that came to mind when she woke up.

Laura is unsure whether what she saw or remembered is true because she is still perplexed by everything that is going on.

"That's right," Eugene replied, causing Laura's eyes to widen in surprise. Eugene smiled and touched his wife's cheek. "I used to be your boss, and that's how our relationship began," Eugene explained.

Laura laughed at Eugene's confirmation of the memory he remembered.

"Oh, by the way, Mr. Ibanez, you can take your wife home now that her check-up is finished," the doctor added, making Laura even happier.

"Thank you," Eugene said politely.
