CHAPTER 4
Xen
Present day.
Xen climbed up the stairs to the upper floor. He stood on the girls room, hesitated if he wanted to knock or not. and then he knocked and stood beside the door, waiting for the girl inside to open. He had totally forgot that he was the one who was suppose to open the door.
He faced the door and breathed out, gaining his composure, and the he opened the door and went inside.
Lisate was sitting upright on the bed like she had just woke up.Xen's dark blue eyes crashed with Lisa's goo eyes. Lisa buried her face down, perhaps she was shy. Xen sat on single sofa that was next to the window- far from the bed. He didn't want to get close to Lisate who reminded him of her lost lover.He didn't want to trouble his brothers with sexual feelings, because if he could get close to Lisa, his body would start catching feelings.
Xen kept on staring at Lisa who's face was still down. She was numb and speechless just like Xen.
Xen cleared his throat."you remind me of someone", and said.
Lisa hesitatingly rises her head up and looked at xen, not knowing what to say.
"Who's that one I remind you of", asked Lisa in her soft sweet lovely voice.
Xen dropped his face down and scratched in his head. His foot tapping the floor like he was listening to a song in headsets and it got his attention.
"Never mind, just forget I said that", he said. He didn't want to remind himself about Merisas tragedy. He got that out of his head once, he didn't want those memories in his head again.
"I can't forget that someone just said I remind him of someone until I know that someone", Lisa suggested.
"A girl, my first lover. You look exactly like her. Everything you have, she had it",
"Oh, just a coincidence maybe?,"Lisa said, rising her eyeballs at Xen.
"Not a coincidence", Xen assured her."you reincarnated her"
"I what?",
"Merisa was the past and you here, Lisate is the present. Its more like you are one".
"Oo oh". Lisa sounded more comfortable in talking to Xen than before now.
"So what's that you and your brothers got me for?, Lisa asked curiously.
"Well, we are hybrids strong and immortal".
Before xen started another sentence, Lisa disturbed with a hand up, meaning that he should stop for a while.
"You three are immortal?, hybrids and..."
"Cursed, of course", Xen finished.
"are you the one's I've heard story about?, my granny told me story about three immortal hybrids who shared a life. If one dies then dies and excetra."
"Yeah that's us"
"But I've heard those stories when I was very young. Which literally means the stories happened a very long time ago. and if you are saying its you that means you are?...oh no don't tell".
"I will. We are very old. I'm 125 years old Kai 130 and Kane is 140. But we are all stuck at the ages that we got turned on. We don't grow. We will never ever."
Lisa got his head leaning on his small hands, seemed like he was enjoying xen's stories.
"Oh, 125 years old. You must've gone alot. You've seen alot".
"Yea I have", Xen assured.
"So...tell me about the girl you said I remind you of. How did she die?", Lisa asked comfortably. Not knowing that the storie about Merisa hurt him till today. He didn't want to talk about her anymore. He was done shedding tears.
"The witch who casted this hell on us killed her. She used her to complete the curses. She said Merisa had to die for the ritual to be complete. She died right in front of me and my brothers, we couldn't help her". Xen made sure not to drop a tear.
"I'm, very sorry".Lisa commented after a moment of silence
"So what do you need me for?" She asked again, more curiosity I her voice this time.
"To remove the curse"
Lisa stood up suddenly, Looking at Xen with pity and sympathy both at once. and then she went ballistic, she solved it on her own, if Merisa had to die to complete the ritual, that means that she also had to die to put the curse to an end.
"That means I will die too?, to destroy the curse?," Lisa asked Xen,uneasiness filled in his voice. Xen nodded in agreement.
at first, Lisate thought that she would help the hybrids with what they wanted and survived. She never thought about dying at that age.she wanted to grow up and have a family and die when it was necessary time to. But all she thought about was running out of this mansion of hybrids. She wanted to run far away where she couldn't be found easily.
Xen looked at the girls uneasiness. he felt potty for her. He also didn't like the idea of the girl who was reminding her of Merisa dying, the girl who she was just falling for dying.
Xen now was having silly conversations inside his heard. The other part of him said he should help the girl not to get killed, the other part said she had to die so that him and his brother would live curse less. He didn't know which one was a good idea.
Lisa was now down on the floor. Her small face covered with her small hands, she was crying probably. She knew she was gonna die soon and she knew nobody was gonna help her get out of this mansion. Only if she could manage to convince Xen to help her.
"I don't wanna die too young, please Xen help me". Lisa sobbed. "I know you don't want this to happen. I know you don't want me to die in front of you like Merisa did. Help me please, we can run very far far away from your brothers, start a new life and...whatever can happen next. Just help me please". Now she was up. She seemed irritated, she couldn't stay at one place, she kept on moving from side to side.
Xen scratched in his head, probably he was thinking something silly, silly enough to separate him and his brothers.
"Fine, I've made up my mind. I will help you run". Xen finally said the silly words that he had been thinking the whole time. Since he met Lisa. He didn't wish her to die so quickly, he wanted to live for as long as he could with her. He wanted to love her like she did to Merisa. But he couldn't, he knew his brothers would get mad at him for being in love with a girl who was their curse holder. And now he just did it, he was in love with her.
Kane and Kai.
Hunting for a witch wasn't so had like hunting Lisate to the two big siblings. They knew alot of witches in and out of the country. There was this witch name Kate who was very popular in the country, they had to go after her.
Kate happened to be a bartender at a certain famous bar in the country. Which made it more easier for the boys to find her.
Kane and Kai stepped their feet in the RARE bar. They hadn't been in a bar for a while and that's also because bars were not their favorite places.
Kai noticed a girl on the counter distributing bottles, she was very busy that she didn't notice that the two famous hybrids were in the bar. Or maybe she didn't know them.
"Let me deal with this brother", Kai said to Kane and tapped him on the shoulder. Kane directed himself to an empty table and sat alone.
"Hello there, Kate is it?" Kai greeted gently with a smile on the far corner of his mouth.
"and you are?"
"Kai, call me Kai"
Kate offered a bottle to Kane though he did not ask for one.
"Listen Kate, you and I need yo have a serious conversation. Alone".Kai said gently as always and took a sip.
"Then you'll have to wait for me to finish my job, be patient."
Kane and Kai waited in the bar until the time was 5 o'clock. People vanished out of the bar. Kate walked to the door and locked it, replacing the open sign with the closed sign.
The two boys watched the girl walk back to the counter and took his beach bag.The boys expressions on their face was unreadable. They watched her again walk to their table.
"So you too said you wanted to talk right?, what is it all about". Kate asked the two serious looking boys, she dared not to look them in the eyes.
"Its about us," Kai said and cleared his Throat.
"What?
"We need your help, lady" Kai said
"What help can I offer you gentlemen".
"Come on lady, we know what you are. You are a witch", Kane spoke for the first time since entering the bar. Kate's mouth opened to speak, his leaked his lips and said,"and you to are...? Vampires?"
Kai nodded in disagreement.
"Werewolves"
Kai nodded again. "Keep going, you are almost there".
"I've failed guessing" Kate assured them.
"We are both Vampire and werewolf, hybrids".
