“It’s certainly not fair to her, brother,” Olivia burst into my room. “If you wouldn’t have forced me to promise you to keep the truth from her, I would have told her the truth. She is hurting everyday here, seeing Kathy and Jon living with you as your family.”

Exhaling loudly, I shrugged and looked at her frenzied face. “I didn’t force her to come with me, she can leave anytime she wants.”

“Cut the crap, Noel. I can see it in your eyes that you’re falling for her which is natural as she’s your mate but why are you fighting so much with what your heart wants and she deserves…?” My sister asked before sitting in the armchair.

“You know the reason very well, Olivia. I’m married and I never wanted a mate to complicate my or her life,” stated I as the matter of fact and strolled to the window to see the clouds passing around the moon. “She isn’t someone who needs me either. All she wants is the power and being the Luna of a rogue pack isn’t something an Alpha Queen would want.”
