Chapter 48 – A safer future.

After Valerie left Bryan went to rest. He had been exhausted after the rejection of his fated mate but kept telling us he is fine and doesn’t regret his choice. Mom left too, probably tomorrow to the kitchen or to take care of Bryan. Laura looks up at me and smiles, I bend down and kiss her softly. I take her hand and lead her upstairs, and open the door into the twin’s room, looking at the twins sleeping.

“They are here, and they are safe,” I whisper in her ear, and she nods her head.
