Just as she glanced up to answer, something caught her attention.

A cellphone!

She quickly withdrew her gaze from it so they wouldn't suspect her as she replied. “A surgery. Something happened, I had to go for a survey or else my eyes will be damaged forever. It's cool, don't you think?” she smiled at them.

They both glanced away.

Rakel angrily stood and stormed out of the house while Knox stood up. But before leaving, he shot a look. “We are not the mate you knew before, you lost your rights of being our mates the moment you ran off. Maybe you'd have had a chance if you hadn't started off with another man so don't think you can use your old tricks to win us back. It won't work so don't bother trying. Back then... I'll admit that I was hurt seeing you with Rakel, but when I came back, you were gone! You left instead of fixing things. There are times when I even had to wonder if you even had feelings for me... Us. Was it ever real?”

So immature she is. She could make them listen, and she is comfortable with someone taking care of her children verses telling the truth and getting her family together?
