Chapter Two

JULIE

“That’s it?!” Sharon blurted in surprise. “He just let you do whatever you want?”

“Yes.” I answered, sitting down on one of the couches in the living room of Pack House. “We made a bargain. We let his people go and we take whatever we want.” I gestured. She frowned.

“This is unlike you, Julie. Normally, you wouldn’t hesitate to kill but you’re sparing them.”

My eyes lowered to the floor as I remembered the little girl’s face.

“Let’s just say I felt like being merciful tonight.” I answered with a light sigh. “So now that we’ve got them captives, you guys should get what we came for and leave this Pack as soon as possible. Who knows, they might have already called for backup.”

I arose sharply, heading straight to the door.

“What about you? You’re not going for another hunt alone, are you?” She asked.

“No.” I paused. “I think I would rather do something else. I don’t know yet but I’ll see you and the guys tomorrow at the usual place.” I answered.

“Stay safe Julie.” She remarked and I nodded before stepping out into the compound. I looked at the moon, still beaming brightly. In the end the thrill and excitement I was looking forward to was an epic fail. Times like this, Clubbing was always my best solution.

As usual, my favorite spot never failed to excite me. The pulsating music, the booze and the crazy humans who try to pull up on me. My vision was gradually getting hazy and my stance on my sneakers could barely hold up any longer. I didn’t need any soothsayer to tell me I was drunk. I wobbled to the corner of the room, trying to get my bearings back. Perhaps I should have let Sharon follow me. I wriggled my head, hoping my senses wouldn’t get any duller but it only worsened. I suddenly perceived a powerful scent, one that belonged to a werewolf. But what amazed me more was that it was stronger than any werewolf I had met before. I rubbed my eyes with my palms so I could see clearly as I searched amongst the crowd.

My eyes finally landed on him. There he was, a stunning Young Man whose charm had easily won me over. He was tall and moderately built, his hazel hair was a perfect mess. My heart skipped a beat as our eyes locked. Never ever have I flinched for a man before nor fallen so much for his charms but this one was different. His gaze remained fixated at me as he approached me. And with every step he took, I could feel my heartbeat rising. A part of me wanted to walk away but then again I thought against it. The thought came again and before I could act on it he was before me.

As loud as the music blared, it felt like it suddenly died down and the air was still around us. The only person I could see was him. His eyes were bright Hazel on closer inspection and it expressed two things. But I was certain I had the same expression on mine too. I felt a strong attachment towards him. A feeling I couldn’t explain but definitely loved.

“Are you going to be like the others and try to woo me with some cliché lines just to have a dance and more with me?” I muttered in oblivion.

He came closer, but I refused to back against the wall, even though his height towered over me.

“No. I prefer to be blunt.” His silky voice made me shudder. The thrills and excitement I was looking for, this was it!

I smiled and he did too.

“Then what does Mr. Blunt want?”

He inched closer so our breaths collided. His eyes fell to my lips and I could see he barely contained his urge to kiss me.

“I want you. Every part of your body, I want you to be mine.”

I bit my lower lips, unable to control the sparks that crazily coursed through me. I placed my hands on his sturdy chest, eyeing his rosy red lips.

“You can’t handle me.” I whispered and he suddenly cusped his arm around my waist, closing the gap between us finally. My whole body exploded with excitement.

“You’ve got the wrong girl, big boy.”

“Then why aren’t you stopping me?”

My hand trailed gently across his cheek.

“I’m checking if you meet my requirements but sadly, you don’t.”

He hummed with a slight growl. His firm around me had tightened in a gentle manner.  “Are you sure about that?”

“I don’t want you, big boy.” I stared straight into his lustful eyes.

“You talk big, you know?” He trailed his finger across my face, running down gently to my neck. My eyes closed as I hummed.

“Oh I am big.” I whispered. He came to my left ear.

“Prove it.” He whispered in a sensual tone.
