Chapter Four

DONALD

After several dancing, eating and drinking to our fill, the night had finally dawned. We were in Roseville Pack House. Ray was entertaining Ria and the others with a joke while Dominic and I took to the minibar at the corner of the room.

“You know, I can’t believe you finally got hinged.” I toned with a slight chuckle. “I mean you were such a chronic flirt that we almost gave up on you, getting a mate anytime soon.”

“I know right…” He wriggled his head before taking a sip of his whiskey. “I guess it just kind of happened. Ria and I found each other and she changed me.” He paused, staring at Ria. “She’s the lady I want to spend the rest of my eternity with.”

I smiled.

“Cheers to that.” We clink our glasses together.

“How about you? Found her yet?” He asked, holding my gaze carefully. I sighed and he understood.

“You know, Ray complains how much of a workaholic you are. And honestly, we all think you need some rest. Have fun, live life, I’m sure you will find her.”

“I have fun in my own ways.” I scoffed.

“Yeah, in a boring way.” He laughed.

I grimaced and he shrugged.

“Look, you need to go out. Parties, Vacation, that kind of vibe. You can’t remain in your office all day and expect a mate to just magically walk into your life.” He gestured.

“I’m not dumb, I know that. That’s why I’m trying to change.” I took a gulp of my whiskey too.

“Really? How about we start that change tonight?” His eyes instantly brightened up.

“That look on your face means I’m definitely not going to like whatever idea of yours.”

He laughed.

“The gang and I are going clubbing tonight. You’re coming.”

“What? No! You got married today, you’re supposed to be spending time with Ria.” I sharply disagreed.

He laughed again.

“This was Ria’s idea. She’s always had this fantasy that we go clubbing the night we get married and truthfully, I like those kinds of fantasies.” He winked.

“I’m definitely not coming. The noise and booze is not my kind of thing.” I wriggled my head.

“You’re coming.” He asserted with another round of laughter.

In the end, he was right. Here I was in a Club, drunk and stuck in the middle of drunk humans dancing like crazy beings. The lights were dim and colorful, the scent of booze with blaring music and screams gripped my advanced senses. I wondered how my friends adapted to this lifestyle. Speaking of which, I couldn’t even find them amidst the crowd. I could barely find my stance yet I kept screaming like I was a child on a rollercoaster. A lady came up to me, eyeing me with lust blooming in her eyes. As I made my move, a powerful scent suddenly gripped me. It was rather pleasing and irresistible unlike that of alcohol. It belonged to a person and my eyes stared aimlessly trying to locate this person.

Suddenly, my eyes stopped on her, the lady at one corner. She was average height, dressed in a short black skirt and a brown jacket complimenting her white top that revealed her cleavage. Her hair was dark and long, her blue eyes were as clear as the skies, her lips were gleaming pink, literally begging to be kissed. Her eyes met mine and I felt an instant attraction. I could feel heat rising up in me. On impulse, I walked towards her.

There was something about this woman.

The night was going to be good.

With a hand on the beauty’s waist, we slowly stumbled along and out of the club. I had only one thing on my mind and that was to taste her properly. I pulled her closer to my side, feeling her warmth against my chest. Her fingers caressed my chest, and wandered downwards, sending lovely shivers up and down my spine. I could not help but growl, and she smiled in defiance. I took it.

We definitely needed to be somewhere else.

Luckily, there was a hotel right across the club. I didn't know how but we both moved in that direction, swaying and tilting towards each other. We giggled, pressing each other in the most sensual way.

Soon, we arrived at the reception of the motel.

I took her in my arms, as she giggled into my chest. I liked the feeling.

The rest of that enjoyable night, I only remembered in snatches. I remembered that the door was barely shut before I slammed her against the wall, ripping off her dress. I remembered her fiercely pressing her boobs against my sturdy chest, grinding against me like the seductive siren she was. We enjoyed each other, pressing and kissing and touching on each other.

I definitely remembered the way she cried out after she climaxed, raw and hoarse until she could not speak anymore.

My eyes jolted awake from my sleep, not from the morning rays but my phone’s ceaseless ringing.

I groaned, arm shooting put and palming the bed in search of my phone. No luck.

"Ugh, shut that shit off right now," I heard a female voice beside me groan.

I turned to my side, away from her, and she whined at the loss of warmth. I picked up my phone to answer, not looking at the caller ID

"What?" I muttered into the speaker.

"Where are you?" Was what I first heard, and I recognized Ray’s voice. "You just disappeared out of nowhere. That’s not like you, Donald. You’re not somewhere working, are you? Did you take any of those files with you?" He chided me, his friend and Alpha, but I could hear the hint of concern in his voice. I would have felt a bit guilty had he not been the same one who asked me to have fun and loosen up a bit.

My head swimming, I sat up on the bed, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

"I’m fine, Ray. Just went out for a bit, and got carried away."

"Well, look at you. Running off to goddess knows where, without informing your Beta, might I add," My friend’s voice teased.

I groaned, my head still hurt and Ray’s loud voice was making my hangover worse.

"I am your Alpha, Ray, and also an adult," I chided him. "I went where I could enjoy myself the most."

"Really?" He didn't seem to believe me. "You mean to tell me you’re not somewhere working yourself into a pulp? This must be a special occasion."

"Ray, you must really have more faith in me," I joked, trying to ease my Beta’s worries. "I’ll be at Dom’s place soon. Don’t act like a mother hen and leave me be for a while," with that, I ended the call, wincing slightly. My headache from the hangover ebbed slowly as the time passed.

As my mind became clearer, I realized where I was. On a bed, naked. With someone beside him. I turned to my side abruptly, seeing the lady I had taken with me for a ride the previous night.

My eyes roved over her body, slowly taking in her slender body with curves that could cause a car crash just looking at her. She was that distracting. I felt a pull to her still, like no one ever could make me feel.

Who was she?

She had managed to take my mind off work too, and I had even left the club without informing my Beta or any of my companions where I had gone.

Careless, Donald, better be careful with this one, I chided.

I grinned, watching in oblivion as the sun’s rays passed over her skin, making it glow.

She was awake, and now turned to face me. Only then did I really see her face, and all at once, my mind clicked.

Just like that, my joy turned to horror, as before my eyes, my bed-mate was revealed to be Julie Scarborough.

I could not help but gaze at her in shock, realizing the magnitude of what had happened last night.

I was now in bed with Julie Scarborough, the infamous Rogue. My Pack’s greatest enemy!
