Secret of the king

I woke up because I was hungry. My back hurt so badly that I was afraid I couldn't get up. It was dark, and I saw David sleeping in bed in the dark. My body would be exhausted if I couldn't eat. My power is eroding little by little. I listen to the steady breathing on the other side, then look at the outside. There was only one guard at the door, no Jame present.

I turned my knuckles tightly together to get out of the leash. David was torture cruel that I thought I was disabled. I had to get back before dawn. If I were discovered, I didn't know I would be able to live or not tomorrow.

In the thick night, the blue eyes become glowing. I can see everything within 20km at night. I ran into the training forest based on my memory, following the shortcut back to the beta shack. I sneaked into Colnaz's room through the lower door, familiarly opening bamboo bags that hung at the head of the bed. We always have regulations whenever we have to put food in reserve in case of an emergency.

I got two dried pieces of bread, a bottle of spring water, and some wild berries. Maybe while doing the laundry, Colnaz picked it. Colnaz was still lying on the bed. He didn't know about my presence. There wasn't much time left, and I quickly wrote down two words on the ground and promptly disappeared. Hopefully, Colnaz is smart enough to delete it after reading it.

On the old road, I returned to King David's room. As I passed through the forest I heard the wolf howling in pain. Then was silent, the smell of blood floating in the air, the feeling of danger approaching. Legend has it that you are not allowed to set foot in the forest for training at night. I am not too curious about it because my current situation is not good. 

I gently returned to King David's room. Fortunately, he was still asleep. I went back to my place, chaining my hands back the same way.

"Stand back." 

I looked startled. There's no one, David's having nightmares. I moved closer to hear what he was muttering in his mouth. 

"Don't go. Please..." David begged in a small voice.

In the evening, David is not in the habit of closing the window before going to bed. Guessing that he had a cold after the shower, I gently didn't make a sound sitting down across from David. The sleeping face became softer than anything else in the world. David's frowned eyebrows seemed to be very uncomfortable. The lips are thin; the sweat is out on the high forehead. The golden hair drooping still had a few drops of water. He looked as weak as a princess.

"Give it back to me... Get out of Aria... Brucer begged you... Take back the Double."

When I moved closer, David stopped talking. He was constantly stirring. Unconsciously I put my hand to pat him on the forehead. When I was a kid, my grandfather Otis did the same every time I had a fever. David gradually calmed down; he held my hand tightly to his cheek with a delighted expression.

"Brucer, Aria's soul is right next to you."

David fell asleep, and I waited for him to fall asleep before withdrawing his hand. I have heard through the spirit of the holy land of Aria, which itself is the place that stores the power and source of genes that produce the strongest Alphas. The fact that Aria has long stood at the top is also thanks. The invasion of annexation among the wolf packs to become motherland forces the lands of the children to pay tribute to resources each year. This has always been the wish of all wolf leaders. 

I've been looking for it all these years, just unexpectedly at Brucer's place. No one knows about its shape or color except the king. Brucer probably doesn't know this either.

The following day they threw me back into the training forest. David returned to his usual laziness. Jame looked at me provocatively, Brucer coldly standing next to David. The siren sounded immediately I leaped into the forest. Use the fastest speed to run straight ahead. The wind rushed into the young skin on the surface, deep into the wound which had not yet healed. I turned left and followed the circle, and then turned right. Initially, I thought about going back to the secret tunnel, but Brucer was blocked in front of me. The black suit accentuates glowing white skin. Brucer was always beautiful in my eyes. Now I look closely and see that Brucer and King David are not the same. Brucer's eyes were light blue, and King David was brown. Are the two of them not brothers?

"Misa, why not choose me?" Brucer spoke up.

"The king won't allow it, Brucer," I replied.

"Lie."

Brucer rushed towards me at lightning speed,  I swerved fast away from running to the left. From behind Brucer firmly clings to not leaving. I bite my teeth and rush out. Right now, I can't tell the direction, I just want to run away. 

"Misa, stand back," Brucer shouted.

"Brucer. Stop. I said it was impossible," I screamed.

"Misa. Don't try to escape. I've been waiting for this day for a long time," Brucer said frantically.

Now I understood the meaning behind Jame's sinister smile. He knows the relationship between Brucer and me. Dealing with her is ten times harder. I smelled the scent of honey and turned, Brucer was chasing me in the back. Brucer was allergic to honey powder. Without a moment's hesitation, I rushed into the hive on top of the tree. When she finally stood back, I was happy to run away.

Having definitely Brucer was removed, I climbed to the top of the tallest tree considering my current location. I'm in the center of the forest, far from the palace. The strange thing is that there is still no Alpha coming to catch me. Something's not right!

"It's not good. Too skinny."

Suddenly the voice was banging on my head. Someone grabbed my neck and squeezed, and my body was lifted up. The man had long black hair covered with leaves, a face identical to King David's, a thin and sick body but incredible strength. He stuck to my body, sniffed around with his nose, and hated throwing it down.

"This victim is not up to standard."

"Who are you?" I speak up.

"Well, he didn't tell you this was a forbidden area. It's also true that sacrifices don't need to know too much."

The sanctuary of Aria has a restriction; no one is allowed to enter except King David. Not long ago, Henry- Alpha under Jame accidentally strayed here and was executed on the spot during his training. Death came to me more and more nearly; my thoughts now kill this man. As long as this person dies, I'll be safe.
