Just a crush

"so you just took a photo of him and ran off?" Paula said with her eyes wide open. Listening to Diana's story of what took place last night at the party seemed so unreal because Diana was refusing to give evidence about what happened.

"Yes I did just that" Diana said as she sipped her juice. They were at a cafè somewhere close to the twins work place. "You don't seem to believe me, I really can't show you the picture or the card because ..." Diana paused looking for a way to make them believe her. How will she tell them that Skylar scared the shit out of her when he told her to delete the picture. Infact he still doesn't know the picture was on her phone.

*THIS MORNING*

Skylar stood motionlessly when the shutter of camera sounded. Diana was about to take to her heels when he caught hold of her hand and dragged her inside the room. He pinned her against the door whilst holding her neck in a strangling position but he did not entirely put force. "How dare you take a picture of me ?" Diana who was now shuddering in fear heard him say. Never would she think that a mere picture will be like a knock on death's door. She was speechless as she intended to run away immediately she took the picture but it seems things took a wrong turn.

"Delete those pictures now" Skylar said as he let go of her neck which had Diana coughing badly. Like a scared kitten, Diana took out her phone and deleted the picture

"Get out" Skylar said as he opened the door. Diana hurriedly left the room.

"Where have you been?" Kate said to Diana as soon as she saw her walk through the front door. She had been waiting for her in the couch since last night. After that conversation with Sylvester, she was scared something bad happened to her daughter as Sylvester sounded bitter and hateful.

"I'm fine mom "Diana said tiredly as she sat in the couch. "I got drunk and I slept in one of the rooms in the hotel" Diana told her mom half of the truth. "Are you sure, you know you can tell me anything right?" Kate tried to see if any other thing transpired last night. "You didn't sleep with any man last night on your father's accord right?"

"I didn't mom" Diana assured her mom."some guy kept feeding me alcohol and I got drunk and Lodge in one if the rooms to avoid doing something I might regret" She was not entirely lying as Jordan did feed her most of the alcohol she had drank.

"If that's so, why didn't you freshen up at the hotel or at least try to wash your face?" Kate asked suspiciously. "That guy didn't even allow me to get sleep off my eyes before chasing me out" Diana thought to herself. "I just wanted to come home and soak my self in my own bathtub mom, nothing really happened I promise" Diana told her worried mom. "I'll go freshen up now, I'm sure I stink" Diana said as she stood up to go to her room. Even after everything that happened Diana was still hellbent on knowing this guy. The dangerous aura he emitted made her even want him more. He might be dangerous, but she had always loved a dangerous and domineering guy. She'll surely have fun conquering this guy.

*PRESENT*

"But he gave you his card right, have you checked to see if the details are real?" Pauline asked. "I'm sure the details on the card are fake, I didn't bother to check it" Diana said sadly. "Why don't you try it to see if the details in the card are real, it might not be, but it won't hurt to try" Pauline told Diana. " For someone who reacted the way he did to his picture being taken, I'm sure the details are fake but as you said it won't hurt to try" Diana said.

*Ring! Ring!! Ring!!!*

Diana's ringtone ran out. Philip was calling. "Excuse me guys, I just need to take this call " Diana said. "Hi Philip" Diana said, " hi Diana" Philip said through the phone. "I was wondering if you'd be free on Saturday, I would like us to meet up" Philip said coyly. "I'll make space for that day, I'm not working anyway" Diana said. "Alright I'll text you an address later on, see you Schöne" Philip said as he ended the call.

"Who is that" Paula said as she leaned foward on her seat. "Just some dude I met at the party" Diana said wanting to come off the Philip topic. She really didn't have much to say about Philip.

Pauline just sat quietly while thinking of the mysterious dude Diana claimed to have encountered at the party. It was not that she did not believe her, but she found it pretty baffling that someone one would react that way to his picture being taken. Seems like it's not only Diana that'll be interested in investigating this dude as Pauline was also curious about his identity. She'll definitely find out what's up with the guy. She just hopes it won't be a disappointing mystery that'll just be a waste of time and resources.

"Oh girl I don't know what to call this but I think you're in love" Paula said excitedly. "What are you saying" Diana was taken aback by the sudden accusation. "It's just a crush for the time being. I'm sure when I get down with him, he'll be a thing of the past" she tried to deny. She won't let them know that she was already thinking of marrying the dude if an opportunity arises, she doesn't want them to think of her as a cheap girl who falls in love with any dude she sees. Diana had tried so much to build her relationship with the twins. She had always loved them and had followed them around that people at school nicknamed her the twins dog. It was only when her family became rich so suddenly that she began to rub shoulders with the high class students of the school and she has being trying to keep that reputation.

You see, the Garcia's family were not as rich as they are now before. Diana's father was the personal assistant of Mr. Liam Kim, the owner of the Kim enterprises. Although the Kim enterprises was not one of the big shot companies, it was quite stable. They lived in the boy's quarters of the Kim's Mansion. Diana had not known her mother till she was fourteen. Her father had raised her single handedly. Her father married her mother when she was fourteen and to her that was the best thing her father had ever done.

Diana had always loved attention, but she was bullied brutally and humiliated in front of the school for seemingly not being classy and rich enough to be in the same space with them. Diana's school fees was paid by Mr. Liam so she was able to go to one of the best schools in their locality. The only friend Diana had was Mr. Liam son, Sky. She knew nothing about the Kim family her father told her to stay away from them. The only thing she knew about the boy was the name his friends call him which was sky. He saved her from all the bullies and was there to lend her his handkerchief whenever he caught her crying. She wasn't sure if they were friends but she considered him her only friend. She even remembered crushing on him so bad even resulting to stalking him at school. He was one of the most popular guys in school. Literally all the girls were swooning at his feet and she was not an exception. He even dated Pauline. They were the school most talked about couple. He was also the reason Pauline hated her so much in the past. Whenever she's being bullied or harassed he will always come to her aid which made Pauline hate her and bullied her even the more. But it's all in the past now, she hopefully wants to believe that she had built a good and healthy friendship with the twins, not one based on class and connections.

As Diana thoughts travelled back to the past, it made her wonder how sky is. Ever since the arson that killed his family, Sky hasn't returned. He was the only survivor of that arson and was rushed to the hospital immediately. But he went missing shortly after he was rushed to the hospital and to this day no one had spoken of him again, not even Pauline who seemed so in love with him.

Now that she thought about it, Sky looked so much like the guy she met at the hotel last night.

She got the chills just thinking about if that was to be true
