Shock ran through me and I flinched back like I had been hit. My palm shot up to wipe off my mouth immediately as a sensation of throwing up right then and there ran through me. My face must have showed my feelings clearly because when I lifted up my eyes, I saw the hurt flashing through Hardy’s eyes and the smile on his face disappearing.

“Sorry. I-” I started to apologise for my lack of manners but he interrupted me,

“No, I am sorry, I was just too much attracted to you.” he said with a small, uncomfortable smile while scratching the back of his head cheekily.

His words gave me a bit of assurance and confidence. I straightened on my feet and flicked him on the forehead with a smile, “Don’t do that again. You are not my type!”

Embarrassment covered his face as he groaned, “You just gave me my first rejection.”

“This is the only first you are gonna get from me.” I smirked, and walked away to go to the class.
