"The court is adjourned"

My attorneys cheer up as the judge exists and Ivanna hugs me from behind.

"Congratulations!" She exclaims in joy and I feel nothing for a couple of seconds when Damien is taken by the cops in front of me.

As he gazes at me with his hatred and disgust-filled eyes, I glared back at him, hot tears streaming down my cheeks as I recall the dead face of my dad, that cruel hour of my life and years filled with pain and darkness.

"Congratulations, Mrs Gabriel," my head attorney, Lana, hugs me. "I hope you feel better"

I move my gaze from that view of my ugly past and thank my team for being so patient for so long and finally turn back to the man standing behind me, who has always been there ever since we reunited.

Kane is smiling at me. His eyes are moist. I don't think I would ever be able to do it if he wasn't there to hold me each time I fell weak on this journey. We don't share words, we just look into each other's eyes.
