While everyone else were exchanging words, Ares's phone started ringing. He glanced at me then he stood up and went away to answer the call.

"Well guys, I gotta run!" Iris stood up, her eyes fixed on her phone, "My friends are calling me to join them for a while. See ya!"

"I got to go too," Ryan groaned in annoyance, "I have private lessons from Mrs Fray during lunch time. See you guys in class."

I watched as Ryan and Iris walked away then I shifted my eyes to Thierry and flashed a smile to his direction.

"So Thierry. You seem nice! Why don't you tell me a little about you?" I asked, keeping a fake friendly smile on.

"My dad's name is Gabriel and he owns a company which is pretty successful." Thierry replied with a faint smile.

"You must be really proud to be his son." I commented to which he shrugged.

"Honestly, I'm not." He replied and his eyes seemed to have fallen on someone or something behind me. "I'll be right back." He stood up and walked away. I grabbed that opportunity and removed the small bottle of sodium thiopental from my pocket and spilled some in his food and drink as well which were on the table before quickly hiding the bottle again. Apparently, Sodium Thiopental was supposed to make someone spill the truth. My dad gave me this before I left.

Few minutes later, Thierry came back and sat down. I watched carefully as he took a bite of his sandwich and internally smiled. "What kind of job does your dad do apart from owning a company? Is he involved in anything?"  He instantly nodded at my question, "yeah, he's involved in illegal stuffs."

"Such as?" I asked, raising my brows.

"I don't know if I'm allowed to say this but my dad leads the mafia." He whispered, "french mafia."

"Wait what?" I widened my eyes dramatically, "are you serious?"

He nodded, "Yeah, he leads the French Mafia. But don't tell anyone I told you. I don't even know why I'm telling you this." He let out a nervous and confused chuckle. "You won't tell anyone right?" Thierry asked to which I nodded, "I won't."

"Thank you." He replied with a simile.

"Anytime. So, you're gonna take over once your dad retires?"

He nodded, "Yeah."

"Sounds cool." I mumbled before asking, "Do you want to take over?"

"No. I never wanted to but he told me to make him proud. I want to make him proud but you know...my mom always tells me that—I have to be who I want to be—but my dad, he kinda forced me in this. I don't wanna do this but I ain't got a choice."

"Have," I licked my dry lips in anticipation, "have you ever killed anyone?"

"W-what? N-No I h-haven't." He shuttered, his eyes slightly widened.

"Okay. So, your father must have a lot of enemies." I spoke to which he sighed but nodded nonetheless.

"Tons! But his worst enemies are the Italians and the Russians. Actually, my dad is planning to take them down and I really hope he succeeds."

"Really? Take them down?" I repeated, narrowing my brows at the guy, "How?"

"He—" Thierry was cut off by the bell ringing which meant that lunch time is over.

"I'll tell you later," he stood up and drank his juice before walking away. He looked over his shoulder and waved at me as he walked away, "Bye!"

I let out a groan just as Ares came back and sat across me with a questioning look on his face, "What did you learn?"

"How to be a good girl." I replied sarcastically and stood up.

Ares rolled his eyes, "I'm serious. What did he tell you?"

"Nothing that we do not know." I shrugged, "Stupid Lunch time ended before he could give me the information that I needed! He was saved by the fucking bell."

"It's alright. We'll see him later, right? You can ask him again." Ares said to which I nodded then we went to our next class and continued with our little facade.

A few hours later and it was already time to return home. I didn't get the time to speak to Thierry again as we were both busy with our classes.

I returned home and freshened up then I went to my private gym. I started punching the punching bag, releasing all my anger on it.

When I was done, I took a bath and went downstairs for dinner. My father, his step wife and Dana were already seated in their seats, definitely not waiting for me.

I took my and started eating my food in silence, waiting for my stupid father to question me.

"Alexia" he spoke as if on cue, "How was your day?"

"How do you think it was?" I asked back.

"Seeing your temper, I'd guess—bad?" He asked and chuckled at his own words while I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, you guessed right." I replied, taking a spoonful of her food.

"What did you find out?" He asked.

"Nothing yet. Listen up, dad—I'll go there only tomorrow and that's it! I won't go there again." I said seriously and my tone colder than I would usually use.

"Tomorrow only?" He asked to which I nodded. He then let out a sigh and shook his head, "No. Tomorrow and day after tomorrow that's all. Alright?"

"Fine, Forty eight hours! But I'm gonna kill someone—don't blane me." I muttered, annoyed.

"Fine," Dad grunted, "kill whoever you want— I couldn't care less! Just succeed on the mission."

"What's your deal with the Salvatotes?" I asked the question that I've been dying to ask.

"What do you mean?" E asked, pretending like he didn't know anything.

"You know very well what I mean. One day you ask me to eliminate Ares then the next, you ask me to partner up with him!" I exclaimed, "What are you planning?"

He sighed, "I've realized that eliminating the Salvatores will be an impossible job for us. Us— joining hands is gonna be better. Once we've gotten rid of the Mexicans and the French altogether then I'll kill Ares and take his place. It's as easy as that."
