"why kill such a handsome man?" Dana asked, her tone slutty as usual, "can't you marry him to me?"

"I thought only Liza could call him that." Dad shot me a death glare at me words made me roll my eyes in response, "What did I say wrong? Both you and I know that I'm right."

"Now that I think of what Dana said—" I cut him off, shaking my head in distaste, "Don't you dare to even think about it. I'm taking care of this, aren't I?"

"But—" he tried to speak but I again cut him off, not wanting him to ruin everything. It wasn't like Ares would agree to marry Dana, anyway. Nobody in their right mind would. "I'm doing everything you're asking me to. But this would be excessive."

"But just think about it!" He exclaimed, "a marriage, It's the best idea!"

"Your plan is already perfect as it is," I gave him fake assurance, "no wedding is necessary. Besides, he wouldn't agree. Let's just stick to your previous plan." I then stood up and walked out of the room, not giving my father the chance to say anything further.

The next day, I woke up early and got ready,  wearing my fake glasses again then left for school. It was all very weird. A few years ago, I thought I was done with school and now, I had do to the same thing all over again. Life sucks.

Arriving at the school, I attended my first classes, followed by second and so on which Ares who was also there. Once the third period was over, I headed straight to the cafeteria where Ares was sitting at a table. On seeing me, he motioned for me to sit with him and I did.

No later than three seconds, Thierry, Iris, Emma and Ryan joined us. Iris continued with her bitchy attitude which irked me to kill her but I had to hold the urge. I wanted to strangle her so fucking bad.

Ares and I didn't talk at all during the whole time. Around ten minutes later, the bell rang, announcing the end of lunch time. They all stood up and started walking out of the cafeteria. I stayed behind and watched them leave. Ares turned to look at me before he shot me a look which I couldn't decipher.

My eyes fell on Thierry who was about to leave. I instantly took out the small piece of cake I bought from a bakery this morning and stopped the guy, "hey, wait up!"

"Hey, Diana. What's up?"

"I made this last night and I kinda need someone's opinion about it. Do you mind?" I said, giving him a convincing friendly smile. I couldn't do anything else but hope that he'd eat the damn cake. Thierry's eyes lit up, "absolutely not. Chocolate, my favourite!"

"Go on, it's all yours," I handed him the transparent box. He instantly opened it and took a bite, giving me a smile, "it's delicious. You're good at this."

"Thank you!" I smiled and watched him carefully. I waited for a good ten seconds before asking, "so, darling, I'm curious. What is daddy dearest planning?"

"Oh, he is organising a Gala—" he paused, "—a mafia gala, something like that. All the dangerous people will be present there. He said he will invite them to make peace."

"You will be there too?" I asked to which he nodded, "Yeah."

I hummed before asking, "what exactly is he planning to do in that gala?"

"My dad will take down Ares Salvatore, his parents and siblings and then he will kill Noah Ivanov as well as his heir—Alexia Ivanov then he will also kill Alexia's sister and step mother. In short, he is going to end both the most powerful mafia families."

"It's not gonna be easy." I said to which he nodded, "Yes that is why, my dad will spike their drinks and make sure that they will drink it."

"Yeah?" I smiled, "what else?"

"He will also have shooters on the roof and in other corners in the mansion," he answered stupidly, "their aims will be on the members of both the families."

"He's smart," I lied, earning a grin from Theirry, "Let's get to class now. We're late anyways." With that, we exited the cafeteria and headed to class since we had the same.

Thierry and I entered the class and took our seats. I had to sit next to Ares since Emma decided to sit next to Ryan.

"Hey chair mate." Ares flashed me a smirk once I plopped down on the chair next to him.

"I've found out what we needed to. Our mission ends here." I spoke up, seriously.

"Tell me about it."

I took a deep breath and started telling him everything in a low voice, "Gabriel is organising a mafia gala using the 'making peace' excuse. He'll execute our whole families there. He'll spike our drinks and there'll be hitmen almost everywhere."

"Lame plan," Ares scoffed to which I hummed in agreement, "I couldn't agree more."

"Diana!" The teacher shouted making me clench my jaw as I slowly raised my head to look at her as she continued to speak, "first of all, you came late to class and now you're chatting with Jason! And you Jason, you're also equally responsible!" She exclaimed making me narrow my eyes at her. Responsible for what? "Go and see the principal, both of you, Right now!"

Ares and I shared an annoyed look before standing up and getting out of the class, going straight to the door, leaving the school instantly.
