Kayla's POV

“ How is she?” I heard Hector say. It was him…my Hector. How did he find me? And where did he take me to.

“ She’s alright. Her temperature is normal again and she’s …very much awake.” I heard the one the girls call Mom said. I slowly got up from the bed they placed me and sat up, wrapping my arms around my knee.

I didn’t look at any of them, I didn’t want to. Instead I looked at the surrounding. It was a very small, cozy house. Quite different from where I was lived in Aidan’s house. Just saying his name alone made me feel so much pain. How he could betray me in the last minute for a girl like April was beyond me, if it was Daphne I would have been less bitter.

I sniffed and cleaned tears from my eyes and mentally promised myself that I would never cry because of Aidan. He never deserved me, I’ve always deluded myself thinking that I was the one who didn’t deserve him.
