17~ Dinner party

A week had passed by in a blur. Amelia’s scandal was not a hot topic anymore, people were now minding their own business but she couldn’t return for work because her name had not been cleared yet.

After they came back from their weekend away, Ethan had not been as pushy with her as he was before. He gave her the space she needed and didn’t make moves on her which was kind of strange for Amelia since she was used to how strongly he pursued her.

It felt weird that he was suddenly acting like they were just housemates. Not that she wanted anything more than what they had. She just felt he wasn’t into her as much as he proclaimed to be if he gave up so soon.

They had not talked about the farm incident but Amelia had apologized once they got home. Even though Ethan said it was cool, Amelia could tell that he was still affected by it. That’s why he was avoiding her.
