Chapter 2 Same Mate

"Amelia! You slacker, hurry up and make breakfast. Do you want to starve me to death?" Sister Olivia's sharp voice rang in Amelia's ear as usual.

Amelia was still immersed in the dream she had just finished. When she heard this voice, she immediately looked at Olivia with an ice-piercing look.

Olivia shuddered when she saw Amelia with such a terrible eye expression. But she instantly became annoyed and glared back since Amelia was just a slave-like bitch.

Amelia became timid again, just like the usual she did. As if that cold eye expression is Olivia’s illusion.

Olivia withdrew her gaze in satisfaction.

"Come on, you bitch! If you don't want to be punished, get up immediately. I want to eat crispy cheese corn!" She yelled at Amelia and walked out without closing the door.

Amelia got up and closed the door, then started to wash and change clothes.

After the series was over, she exhaled softly.

She almost couldn't hold back her hatred in the dream and rushed to beat Olivia. But at that time, the feeling of fear after killing Olivia in the dream remained in her heart. When she returned to real life, she just wanted to live a safe and stable life. She didn’t want to make any trouble to turn the dream into reality.

Amelia controlled her emotions. She walked into the kitchen with her parents and Olivia scolding and started what she did every day.

In this way, a week of the quiet life.

A week later, the school's graduation party is coming.

Today is also Amelia and Olivia’s eighteenth birthday.

To have a good memory of the day of adulthood, even an introverted and shy person like Amelia prepared a poetry reading program for this evening.

Not to mention Olivia.

A month ago, Olivia had begged her parents to buy her an expensive tutu for showing her style at this party.

"Hey, sweetie, have you heard? It is said that first at the party today will be able to accompany Alpha to the next Pack Alliance banquet." Daniel bumped Amelia's shoulder lightly, walked down the road, and looked excited. He said mysteriously in front of her face.

Seeing that he was a friend who grew up with her since childhood, Amelia smiled at him, then shook her head.

"Who’s eating you, sweetheart? This is your chance. You are so good. You definitely can take the first place!"

"Thanks, Daniel, but I can't. Otherwise, Mom and Dad will be angry." Amelia smiled weakly at him again.

"Hmph, it's because of Olivia, right? Your parents are really partial!" Daniel pouted. He looked impatient at the thought of Amelia's family.

Immediately, he lightly touched Amelia's arm as if thinking of something. "Speaking of which, you are unhappy during this time. Is it because they have done something excessive to you again?"

"Obvious?" Amelia asked, rubbing her face suspiciously.

"No, but I’m your best friend. You can't hide everything from my eyes, sweetheart." Daniel exaggeratedly stretched out two fingers, pointed to his own eyes, then pointed to Amelia. The meaning was easy to understand.

Amelia was amused by him this time. If it wasn't for Daniel, she didn't know how she would live these years. She would have lived a very dark life...

Amelia shook her head, pushing the negative thoughts out of her head.

The night is coming soon.

Amelia was standing nervously at the door of the waiting room, wearing a dress that Olivia had retired from a few years ago.

Olivia passed by her brightly and walked towards the center of the stage when she was watching the show.

Amelia flashed a trace of inferiority in her heart. Then she ruthlessly threw it away.

Amelia, you can have low self-esteem, but not today.

Today, you need to be beautiful and proud of yourself. Amelia silently cheered for herself in her heart.

The music sounded. Olivia stretched her arms straight, her head up, and her toes raised, completely showing her soft and slender body to the audience. Then she kept blooming herself.

Dance done, thunderous applause.

It was finally Amelia's turn to recite poetry after a few more performances.

The moment Amelia heard the host say her name, she straightened her shoulders and took a deep breath. The lights hit the edge of the stage, Amelia followed the lights to the microphone and started reciting.

"Fear no more the heat o' the sun;

Nor the furious winter's rages,

Thou thy worldly task hast done,

Home art gone, and ta'en thy wages;

Golden lads and girls all must,

As chimney sweepers come to dust..."

Amelia spoke at a moderate speed. Although the volume was not loud enough, the audience felt the voice was very gentle and comfortable when it came out of the microphone.

Seeing the audience's reaction, Amelia rejoiced in her heart and showed unprecedented confidence at this time. With this emotion, she began to recite the next paragraph.

"Fear no more the frown of the great,

Thou art past..."

Amelia's voice suddenly stopped here.

Less than a minute later, the audience below began to whisper.

Amelia, who was standing on the stage, seemed to be tightly strangling her throat with a big hand. She began to have difficulty breathing, so she had to use her hand down her throat to give herself air.

But this didn't slow down her pain but intensified as if she would suffocate at any time.

The audience below finally realized that something was wrong with Amelia. They found someone to go to the stage to see the situation.

Just then, before Amelia was about to faint, she suddenly smelled a good smell of daffodils.

Amazingly, when this breath entered her nose, the suffocation was immediately weakened a lot. This made Amelia look up and start looking for the source of the breath.

It didn't take her long.

Soon, Amelia discovered that the good smell of daffodils came from the Alpha of her pack. Almost instantly, she knew that Alpha Jason was her mate.

She was so happy at this point that she wanted to smile at Jason. But when her eyes glanced to the side inadvertently, she found that his arm was being hugged intimately by a girl.

This girl was Olivia!

They have the same mate, just like the dream!

Realizing this, Amelia felt the suffocation she had just felt again, and even that feeling was stronger than before.

Alpha Jason seemed to finally feel the presence of Amelia and looked at her in surprise.

They looked at each other. Afterward, Amelia couldn't take care of the performance anymore. She stumbled off the stage with her only remaining strength, through the crowd, and ran to the door.

There was only one thought in Amelia's mind: RUN! Get out of this nightmare!

It stands to reason that as long as she is away from the Alpha Jason and Olivia, she can breathe smoothly. But it didn’t work on Amelia, since this feeling does not come from her body but from her heart.

Why? Why?!

"Squeak!" A sharp braking sound rang in Amelia's ear, pulling Amelia out of fear. She fell to the ground.

"What's the hell are you?" A well-dressed driver got out of the car and cursed at Amelia.

Amelia just sat in the middle of the road, motionless, and didn't reply, like a fool. When the driver saw this, he could not bear to scold her. Seeing that she didn't leave, he stepped forward and pulled her to the side of the road.

Then a tearful face appeared in the eyes of the driver and the man sitting in the car.

For some reason, it was the first time the man in the car saw this girl, but he felt irritated when he saw her crying.
