Chapter 5 Companion Invitation

This is the second time they have come to this forest.

As soon as Amelia walked to the entrance, she couldn't help to go to the scene where she was attacked by the rogue and almost died. She was scared.

Seeing Amelia like this, Alexander pursed his lips and said as he walked. "The rogue who attacked you before was an intermediate soldier in the Rogue League. The others had been killed by us. You are implicated by us."

Amelia shook her head slightly, showing that she didn't mind. But she was curious about the Rogue League in Alexander's mouth.

"The Rogue League?"

Alexander nodded. "That's right, the Rogue League. This is a newly established organization in the last two months to retaliate against the packs who exiled them. It was originally just a small organization. But there seems to be a smart strategist in it, and a lot of rogues have joined in by his crafty words, making them bigger and bigger. However, they are more like a cult in the human world than a formal organization."

"Then the packs will be dangerous," Amelia said worriedly.

Alexander nodded heavily. "You must know about the Pack Alliance banquet. These packs got together to discuss how to defeat the Rogue League."

Amelia nodded. She only thought that the Pack Alliance was gathering this time just to connect their relationship, to close the cooperation and development of each pack in the future. Unexpectedly, such an urgent thing happened, causing them to get together.

Alexander saw Amelia frown and somehow didn't like the way she made it. So, he stretched out his palm, touched her head, then smoothed her knitted brows. "Don’t worry, this matter is in control now.  They are just a group of rabbles although they do become stronger. If the Pack Alliance doesn't even have this ability to defeat them, they can disappear in the world."

Listening to Alexander's arrogant tone, Amelia smiled. At the same time, she had a little curious about the identity of the man in front of her.

At first, she thought he was a senior soldier in the pack. But judging from his words and demeanor, it seemed more than that. He is more of a leader than a warrior.

"I haven't seen you in the pack." Amelia expressed her inner doubts.

Alexander smiled and was about to speak.

But suddenly, Amelia spoke again. "Hey, something is shining red in the bushes over there. Maybe it's your jade pendant. Let's go and see."

Alexander looked in the direction of Amelia's fingers, then walked to the bushes first. He took the red glowing thing in his hand.

"Yes, it is." He said delightedly.

"Great, our efforts are not in vain."

"Thank you, Amelia." Alexander turned to look at Amelia and smiled. "This is really important to me."

Amelia raised her head to look at Alexander's handsome face, her heart skipped a beat. To prevent Alexander from seeing her strangeness, she hurriedly looked away, pretending not to care. "You saved me, that's what I should do."

Alexander's eyes darkened a bit when he heard this. Then he returned to his usual appearance, grinning and jokingly saying. "Just that?"

Seeing Alexander teasing her, Amelia nodded hurriedly for fear of making him think she was interested in him. "That's right."

The corners of Alexander's mouth smirked slightly. Just when Amelia thought the conversation was over, Alexander's voice sounded again. "I mean, if you want to repay me with this, it would be too insincere for you."

Amelia suddenly became a little embarrassed. Thinking about it, she seemed to be a little perfunctory. "Then what can I do for you? I can treat you to dinner, and treat you to a movie. I can repay your kindness slowly. But can you choose a cheaper place if you have a meal?" Said Amelia. Finished this, she was shocked by her thick skin, but she really didn't have any savings.

Alexander saw Amelia's expression that she wanted to find a hole in the ground after she finished speaking, he thought that she was very cute. Then he smiled and patted her head. "Don't be so nervous. I can't eat too much. Before agreeing to your proposal, why don't you want to promise me one thing?"

"What thing?" Amelia raised her blushing face and asked in confusion.

"I will also attend the Pack Alliance banquet this time. I hope you can be my companion."

Amelia tilted her head for a moment, then shook her head. "I'm sorry Alexander, I want to help you. But you know that Alpha Jason is my mate, and he will also appear at the banquet at that time. I don't want to see him for the time being." Speaking of this, Amelia's eyes began to flash tears. She didn't want to see her mate loving another woman, even if that person is her sister Olivia.

"Don't cry, please.” Alexander hurriedly wiped Amelia's tears with his fingers. Seeing her like this made him a little annoyed. He didn't mean to upset her.

But he still wanted Amelia to be his companion. Not because of selfishness, but he felt that the first step in solving the problem should be to learn to face the problem, not to escape.

"Amelia, I know it's going to be painful for you to do this, but can you hide from them for the rest of your life? It's better to fight for yourself in the end. Think about it, if Alpha Jason saw you as my companion, what will he do? If he gets angry, does it show that he still cares about you a little bit? This is a good opportunity for you." When Alexander said the last, he didn't believe it himself. In fact, the more he said, the more uncomfortable he felt in his heart as if a big stone was blocking his chest, making him feel depressed.

Well, in fact, it was because of his selfishness. He wanted Amelia to give up Alpha Jason earlier, not for any other reason.

Amelia didn't know anything about Alexander's psychological activities. Hearing this, she ignited a little hope in her heart, but she also felt a little guilty soon. "It seems like I using you."

Seeing her shake, Alexander felt a little happy and a little sour in his heart. Immediately afterward, he suppressed this emotion and then showed the same smile as before. "It's the same sentence, I'm honored to serve Ms. Amelia. Besides, this matter is also your help for me."

Amelia smiled. "I’ll think about it."

Alexander nodded with a smile and said nothing. Just like that, after about twenty minutes, they returned to Amelia's residence.

Just as Alexander said goodbye to Amelia and was about to leave, Amelia suddenly stopped him, "Wait, I think I've made a decision."
