Chapter Fifteen.

I was so excited to tell Toby that news. I knew it was a hard decision for my parents to make, and I’ll help them both anyway I can.

“Sister Mary Danvers. Get Toby’s papers ready, he’s going home with me,” She nods.

“Your mother phoned me already. Toby is on his way down, I haven’t told him yet. Here’s his file,” She says, handing it to me just as Toby walks into the room.

“Cali, your back,”

“I am,” I nod.

“Do you wanna play?”

I shake my head.

“We have to go. Papa is waiting at the palace,”

His smile falls.

“Will you come back soon?”

I purse my lips. “I can, or you can come home with me,”

His little faces lit up.

“Really? Are you going to be my new mommy?”

I shake my head.

“Something even better,”

“What’s better than a mommy,”

“I’m going to be your big sister,”

Toby and walk back to the palace he holds my hand tightly so I can’t let go. He’s so nervous, I told him about mama and papa. He can’t wait to meet papa, he already loves mama.
