Chapter twenty.

“Good morning,” Bane says coming through the door. I’ve been up for almost an hour now sitting at the window overlooking the beautiful green forest just beyond the house. Bane must have brought me to his house when I didn’t want to go to the palace.

“Morning,” I replied.

“Are you hungry? My mom made breakfast,”

I nodded my head and Bane extended his hand and I placed mine in his as he led out of the room and down the stairs. He led me down a hallway and through swinging doors.

Julia was standing at the island cutting strawberries and bananas and Jerry was reading the newspaper at the table.

I’ve only ever met his parents once or twice at the palace. Mama and Julia are good friends and Jerry works at the South Gate of the kingdom's property line.
