Chase kept his end of the deal and didn't bother me at night, but I still tried to stay awake in case he decided to pay me a nightly visit.

But I couldn't stay awake all night. Soon, I slipped into a deep slumber. Being tired from the plane ride didn't help either.

I didn't wake up until it was morning. Warm sunlight hit my face, jerking me awake. I pulled myself into a sitting position and looked around but it was just me in the room. I wondered why Chase didn't come and wake me up.

I went to the bathroom and then splashed some water in my eyes then headed to the door. I jiggled the knob and pulled, but the door didn't budge.

Of course it was locked. Typical....

I banged on the door hoping somebody would hear me. "Anybody out there? Open the door please!" I yelled until the door burst open.

An older woman stared at me, smiling. "I see you are awake. I was about to come over and wake you up for breakfast. Chase is waiting for you," she said.
