“Alaric, you’re here.” I smiled when I heard his voice. I was beginning to become attached to this vampire. He just seemed to pop in whenever he was needed.

“Sorry I missed you before Soph, but I was with our friend Elvenia, finding out more about the gift that she gave you. It seems that she also bestowed the gift of having a baby.” There was no hint of panic in his voice, which made me relax.

“We have twins. They are bigger than they should be and we heard one of them say Mum.” I explained to him.

“Well, this doesn’t surprise me. The gift of the Fae is not to be taken lightly. It seems that you have a very strong blood line if it caused you to become pregnant with twins. Sophia, Derek, when people find out about this, you are going to be in a lot of danger. I am going to need to hide you all.”
