The car continued to speed on the highway until it took a sudden turn, entering a remote road with a stretch of woods on both sides of the road.

A grunt like sound escaped Shirley's throat for the umpteenth time. The continuous rush of an indescribable feeling washing through her, the feel of her bones breaking, was killing Shirley. She didn't understand what was happening to her as occasionally, her bones snapped, making a popping sound, it was so painful that it forced a scream out of her mouth each time the snapping sound and pain washed through her. She knew that it was the full moon which was already beginning to be visible in the sky. She was turning.

Amelia spared the struggling Shirley a quick glance, noticing that her eyes were now a glowing blue. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she returned her gaze to the road ahead.
