Chapter 33

We left Mark alone so that he could get to know his mate a little better but we didn’t get very far. Everyone in the pack was here and it seemed as though all of them wanted to talk to us. It seemed as though we couldn’t move more than a few steps at a time without someone calling us over.

Elijah was so much better at this than I was. I didn’t like this much attention being directed at me and I wanted to get out of the conversations as soon as possible. Elijah however was a master of small talk and he seemed to know about the lives of everyone in his pack. He asked them questions and made them feel like he truly cared about every single one of them.

After a few conversations I forgot about my own discomfort and just paid attention to Elijah. I loved listening to him. The way he spoke made me want to be a better luna for him and our pack. It would take me a long time to get used to being around so many people and even longer to learn all their names but I wanted to do it for him.
