Elijah was still kissing me when he received a mindlink from his brother to let us know that Helen had crossed our border with some omegas from her pack. Glancing at my watch I noticed that she was almost two hours early. Either this woman was really eager to meet Ryker or she was trying to catch us unprepared. I really don’t like her.

We quickly made ourselves look presentable and made our way downstairs to meet her entourage. They hadn’t arrived by the time we got downstairs but Ryker was waiting near the door between Felix and his parents. Judging by the way they were standing so close to him I think they were expecting him to try running away. Or maybe he already had, he did seem to be acting rather sheepish.
