Kal was a bit too tired to be cleaning up Jag's messes and normally he would have just ignored it but this time was different. This time Jag had gone and upset their mate all because she had tried to do something nice for him. Sometimes Kal couldn't help but wonder if his best friend had his setting permanently stuck on grumpy. There was no denying Jag was not only stubborn but also had a temper yet there was more to him than that. It just so happened that very few people saw it. 

That wasn't an excuse for yelling at Emma though and Kal wasn't about to give up Emma even if Jag seemed to be doing everything in his power to scare her off. 

It was for this reason that he was standing outside of an apartment at seven am. One hand was carefully balancing coffees while he used his other hand to knock on the door. 

There was a few seconds of long silence and then the door cracked open, tired blue eyes looking up
