The scent of coffee and the feeling of Hunter’s snout bumping against her hand roused Camille from her slumber. She felt like she had slept for a lifetime and yet her exhaustion was bone deep, weighing her down. Speechless was perhaps an understatement for how Camille felt and she tried to get her brain to compute while also trying to dampen down the alarm and panic rising up inside of her.
