~ Damon ~
Once upon a time, there was a mighty king who ruled over the land. The king ruled with an iron fist. He was cold and ruthless. No one dared to stand in his way. Until one day, along came a girl.
The girl was enchanting. She had dark brown hair and light blue and purple eyes. He fell in love with her the moment he saw her. Using all his strength, he was able to capture her. He forced his way into her heart until she became his.
But what the king didn’t realize was how strong the girl actually was. With just the touch of a finger, she could bring him down to his knees. He thought he had control over her, but she was controlling him all this time. And one day, with just a change of her heart, she went in for the kill. Along with a soft kiss, she put a bullet to his heart and his life was never the same again.

Damon’s steps were slow but firm as he descended down towards the dark basement. His fists were clenched tightly and a small smirk crept up his face. He heard the sound of chains rattling and it made his heart beat in excitement.
Making his way into the deepest part of the basement, under the harsh fluorescent light that hung from the ceiling, Damon made out the figure of a girl who was chained to the wall. Her long white dress was torn up and dirty. Her long dark hair was unkempt and it fell down to cover her face.
Standing at an arm’s length away, Damon reached for her chin and tilted up her face. The hair that covered her face fell away and she stared up at him with those bright violet eyes of hers.
“Good morning, sweet girl,”
Damon’s voice was low and haunting. The girl shuddered at his touch and her eyes showed signs of fear. She let out a small whimper and flinched back, but the chains locking her hands above her head didn’t let her go too far.
“Damon…”
Violet’s voice was weak, almost like a whisper. Damon let out a smirk as he tightened his grip on her chin. He leaned closer and closer to her until his breaths were hitting her neck. Violet swallowed hard as Damon stared her down like a lion stalking its prey. She knew this wasn’t going to end well for her. She shot a mafia king in the chest and left him bleeding to death. Luckily, his men came quickly after hearing the gunshot. They tended to his wound and caught the girl before she could escape.
“Are you surprised to me?” Damon’s tone was taunting her.
Violet didn’t answer him and threw her gaze to the floor. It was unbearable for her to look him in the eye.
“The surgery went well, just in case you’re wondering,” he said again. “They got the bullet out. I’m keeping it as a souvenir,”
Violet looked up instinctively and he flashed her another smirk. Though he was acting all cool and nonchalant, Damon actually suffered quite a devastating wound. The bullet was lodged into his chest, almost penetrating his heart, but it was stopped by his ribcage. Only a fraction of an inch further and he might not be standing here today.
It took him almost a week before he recovered from the surgery. As soon as he woke up, Violet was the first thing he asked about. Once he was able to stand up and walk, he came straight down to see her. He didn’t quite know what he was going to do with her. But now that he was in front of her, he just wanted to stand here and look at her. He wasn’t in any rush to do anything. He knew he got her where he wanted her, so he was completely in control of his emotion.
“Are they treating you alright in here?” he asked, studying her body up and down.
Violet was reluctant to answer, but she nodded her head slightly. This was definitely not a royal treatment, but she was lucky Liam didn’t shoot her dead when they caught her. Instead, she was being held in the deepest part of the underground basement in the estate. It was a place designed for torturing and imprisoning his enemies.
“Where am I?” she asked.
“You’re in heaven or in hell,” he replied. “It’s wherever you want it to be,”
Violet’s eyes were filled with fear, and he kept taunting her on purpose. It was fun for him to play with her emotions like this. Letting out a menacing smirk, he stepped closer and pressed his body up against her.
“Damon…” she tried to protest, but she had nowhere to run.
“I told you I was never letting you go,” he said into her ear. “You can never run away from me, my sweet wife,”
Damon pulled out a leather whip from behind his back and Violet looked up at him in horror. He took a step and unrolled the whip until the tip hit the floor.
“You’ve been a very, very bad girl, Violet,” he said with his head cocked to the side. “You know this is what I have to do,”
“Damon, please…!”
* SMACK! * SMACK! * SMACK! *
Ignoring her cries, Damon slashed the whip across her body, tearing up her dress even further. She let out a deafening scream and it only fueled him even more. He whipped and whipped until her body was filled with bruises and cuts.
“Please… I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to…” she begged.
“Talk is cheap, sweetheart,” he said as he dropped the whip to the floor. He saw her torn-up body before him and was absolutely satisfied. “You need to show me how sorry you are,”
“I… I’ll do anything…” she pleaded. “Please,”
“Anything?” he asked, raising an eyebrow at her.
Violet didn’t answer him, but he didn’t need an answer. Stepping back in front of her, he unlocked her chains until her body fell down to the floor. In one swift move, he picked her up in his arms and carried her away.
“W-what are you doing?” she stammered, afraid for dear life.
Damon stifled a laugh as he carried her up the stairs and into the bright light.
“I’m carrying my bride over the threshold,” he said simply.
Violet didn’t know how to respond, so she remained quiet. Damon carried her all the way up to their bedroom, passing by a row of his men who had to look down because they couldn’t bear to see the boss’s wife in such a condition. Once inside the bedroom, he closed the door shut and laid her on the bed.
“Don’t move,” he ordered.
Violet lay there helplessly as the pain stung her skin. She closed her eyes and awaited her doom. Meanwhile, Damon went into the bathroom and came out moments later with a warm towel. Sitting down next to her, he began undressing her, tearing away the ripped dress until it fell to the ground. Violet was so traumatized, she kept her eyes closed the entire time, thinking he was going to hurt her some more. But when the warm towel hit her skin and Damon gently wiped her wounds, her eyes jolted open in shock.
Violet stared in confusion as he cleaned her wounds. He was being so gentle, a complete opposite to the guy who was whipping her just minutes ago. After he finished cleaning her body with the wet towel, he pulled out some ointment and rubbed them to her skin. Even though Damon was being gentle, it still stung her and she flinched in pain.
“Tell me. I just need to know one thing,” he said suddenly, distracting her from the pain. “Why’d you do that?”
Violet fell silent and bit her lip. She didn't know what to tell him, but her eyes glazed over and they were filled with regret.
“Did someone tell you to do it?” he pressed. “Who gave you the gun?”
Violet didn’t answer him again. Instead, a single tear fell off her cheek and she started crying.
“Damon…” her small voice croaked.
One look into her teary eyes and all that anger inside him were suddenly gone. Letting out a sigh, he put his hand on the side of her face and wiped her tears away.
“I’m really sorry…” she said.
“What? For shooting me in the heart?” he chuckled.
“For not trusting you,” she said, shaking her head. “That was a mistake,”
Tears kept falling off her face and his eyes softened. He could tell she was very remorseful. That was a genuine apology if there was ever one.
“…Does it hurt?” she asked suddenly, her hand reaching up to his chest.
Damon felt his heart doubling in size when her finger grazed the bandage on his chest. It amazed him how much power she had over his body. She could shoot him in the heart and he’d still worship at her feet.
Shaking his head, he told her, “You’re worth the pain,”
Damon locked his gaze onto her and she was staring right back at him. They could sit here and talk all night, but it wouldn’t matter. Their eyes had already done all the talking.
She’s sorry and I forgive her. I still love her and I think she does too.
Slowly and carefully, Damon leaned closer until his body was hovering on top of her. His lips delved down and she met him with her kiss. He tasted her sweet lips and trailed kisses down her neck and jaw. She let out a whimper as her hand went to the back of his neck.
“Does this hurt?” he asked, noticing that she was flinching a lot.
Shaking her head and smiling, she said, “You’re worth the pain,”
A smirk curved up his lips and he continued kissing down her body. His hands roamed her legs and thighs and she parted them open for him. Damon ran his hand up and down her thigh before reaching for her sensitive bud. She let out a gasp when he found her, and he let out a groan when he felt how wet she was.
Fúck. I can't wait anymore.
Not wasting another second, Damon yanked his slacks down and his erect manhood sprang free. He rubbed his length up and down her slit, collecting her sweet juices on him. And with one sharp thrust, he entered her core, feeling her walls wrapping tightly around him.
Hmmm. I’ve missed this so much.
Violet let out moans and whimpers as he picked up the pace with his thrusts. Her legs were parted wide and he drilled into her like he was about to break her in two. His hands went to her neck and with a firm grip, he cut off her air supply. Violet’s eyes rolled to the back of her head as she neared her climax, gasping for a release.
“Damon… Damon…!” she moaned breathlessly. “Oh, I’m gonna…!”
“That’s it, sweet girl,” he groaned. “Scream my name. Scream it loud!”
Damon tightened his grip around her neck and pushed deeper and harder. Within seconds, her walls clenched and her body convulsed in shock. Damon closed his eyes and felt the warmness of her walls enveloping him, it was a sensation like no other.
“DAMON!”
Damon was seeing red. He heard her scream and he kept going. He wanted to hear more of it. He wanted to fúck her senseless until his name was all that she could remember.
“Damon?! Damon!”
“Boss!?
Suddenly, her screams had morphed into other people’s voices. Damon stopped moving and opened his eyes, but all he could see was darkness. But slowly, the darkness dissipated and he saw the ceiling of the old church. Several of his men were surrounding him, including and Adrian and Talia. All their faces were stricken with horror.
“He’s alive!” they yelled. “Get the doctor!”

~ Damon ~- - - - - ONE WEEK LATER - - - - -Damon lay on his bed with his head facing the ceiling. His expression was stoic and his eyes were empty. It was eight in the morning but the room was dark. Damon didn’t bother getting up to open the curtains. Everything was pitch black and empty, just like his heart. The only sound that filled the room was the sound of his low breathing. And faintly, very faintly, he could almost hear the sound of his heart beating. It almost amazed him how that thing was still working after all that it’s been through.I used to have it all… The whole world under my feet and my girl by my side.Damon’s mind wandered to the days before the wedding and all the events that led to that fateful morning. Everything was magical. He had it all. He was going to end his enemies and marry the love o

Her feet and the hem of her dress were gliding on the hardwood floor. Barbara looked up and saw Violet smiling back at her. She was all dressed up and ready to go, wearing her favorite summer dress and a denim jacket. Her hair was cut shorter and curled. She still had the same fair features, but her high cheekbones showed that she had lost some of that baby fat from her teenage years.“Good morning, mom,” Violet replied, taking a seat on the kitchen counter. “What are we having for breakfast?”“We have… bread, cereal, and some leftover cake from
~ Violet ~“I believe in America. America has made my fortune. And I raised my daughter in the American fashion. I gave her freedom but I taught her never to dishonor her family…”Violet sat quietly next to Lucas in his convertible as they stared at the screen projecting The Godfather. Lucas was totally engrossed with the film, his eyes lit up with excitement as Marlon Brando appeared. Violet, on the other hand, couldn’t be less enthused. Even though she knew this was only a movie—a fictional story— every scene and word that these characters said reminded her of him. “So, what’s a girl like you doing in a place like this?”Violet recalled the night when she first met Damon, the mafia boss of the Van Zandt family. She was working the late shift at The Union when Dylan told her to leave. But on her way out, he stopped her.“A girl like me?” she asked.Violet could remember that night like it was yesterday. His dark piercing eyes were full of mystery and wonder. He could stop her heartb
~ Violet ~- - - - - THREE WEEKS LATER - - - - -“You know what they call this in the olden days?” Lucas paused for a beat before whispering into Violet’s ear, “It’s a shotgun wedding,”“Shush!” Violet glared and covered Lucas’s mouth so no one could hear him. “Don’t you dare spread any rumors! Ivy is not pregnant!”After proposing to Ivy just a few weeks prior, Dylan then told everyone that they were doing the wedding in three weeks. Barbara was overjoyed by the news, and so was Violet. They were supportive and they helped out all they could to give Ivy her dream wedding. Though it caused the townspeople quite a stir, it was a wonderful time for the Carvey family. “Yeah, but a wedding in three weeks?” Lucas’s chuckle was muffled because of Violet’s hand.“I don’t know, I guess they’re just so… in love?” Violet shrugged as she stared at the happy couple.Tonight was Dylan and Ivy’s wedding reception. The event was being held at Ivy’s father’s ranch. It was a beautiful place surroun
~ Violet ~“…Damon…”Violet’s voice came out in a whisper. She saw him standing in front of her, but she still couldn’t believe it. For a second, she thought this must be a dream. She dreamt about moments like this before, when Damon would show up unannounced before her eyes. Usually, if she jerked her head hard enough, she’d wake up from her sleep. But this time, no matter how many times she blinked or forced herself to wake up, nothing could erase the image of him standing in front of her.“Is it… really you?”That was a rhetorical question. She knew it was him. Those were his eyes, his lips, and his sharp jawline. His hair was a little longer and light stubble formed on his jaw. He was wearing his signature three-piece suit and he stood in that cool and mysterious way that he always does.Damon also didn’t answer her right away. He just stared at her with a stoic look on his face. Violet narrowed her eyes, but she couldn’t read his expression. Was he mad? Was he upset? What was he
~ Violet ~Violet slumped down into the white leather seat of the private jet. Her hands were still tied together and now Damon was pulling the seatbelt over her stomach. He fastened the seatbelt unnecessarily tight, and his face stood only inches away from her. As he finished clasping the seatbelt shut, Damon’s eyes held a playful glint, but Violet wasn’t amused. He took a step back and admired the view—how Violet was all tied up in that chair. Violet glared daggers at him. He had the audacity to take her away from her family and her idyllic life, forcing her into a black SUV and now a private jet. He didn’t show any remorse on that stoic face, in fact, he looked almost satisfied to see her this way.“Do you have to look at me like that?” He said with a scoff. From the way he tied her up, Violet couldn’t move an inch, so glaring was all that she could do.“Where are you taking me?” she demanded.“Home,” he said simply.“I was already home,” she spat. “That was my brother’s wedding an
- - - - - THREE YEARS AGO - - - - - -~ Damon ~Damon took a moment to study the picture in his hand. His eyes turned glassy instinctively. This was the first time he saw Violet’s face in a month. It was hitting him like a brick wall. The picture showed that she was walking through some street with a bag of groceries in her hand. She seems good, happy, and healthy… “What do you want us to do, boss?” Liam asked. “We can fly out there right now. The jet’s already waiting at the tarmac,”Damon took one last look at Violet’s picture. His thumb slowly grazed over her beautiful face. But suddenly, he closed the file shut and shoved it back to Liam.Liam looked at Damon in confusion as he held onto the file. Meanwhile, Damon turned around and went for the nearby mirror. His shirt and signature black suit were hanging next to it. It was always prepared there for him just in case he wanted to wear them today.“Boss?” Liam asked again.Damon didn’t say a word as he stood in front of the mirro
~ Violet ~“Let me show you just how much I love you,”Damon paused for a moment to take one more look at her. Violet was looking up at him, and he was looking down at her. No one said anything. Violet didn’t even breathe. Suddenly and without warning, he closed the distance between their lips, capturing her into a kiss. Oh, no!Violet drew in a sharp breath as soon as she felt the impact. His lips landed on her hard and wantonly. She was struggling to breathe, but he wasn’t relenting. He grabbed a fistful of her hair and kissed her deeper, pulling her tight into his body. No, this can’t be happening!Violet’s body was lost in the heat of the moment. Her brain knew that this was wrong, but her heart was exploding into a million pieces as her skin writhed for his touch. She didn’t realize that she had been hungry for this until she tasted him. And once she did, there were no words that could describe what she was feeling right now. I just can’t… stop.Violet closed her eyes and surr
