Chapter 11

I cleared my throat. "I'm not denying, anyway."

He raised the glass but I didn't make a toast with him. I just rolled my eyes.

"If you say so." He sipped the vodka while his eyes were looking straight at mine like he was taking my breath away with his magnetic stares.

I grabbed my glass so I could have a reason to avoid his gaze. I sipped on it despite my lungs, despising myself already for what I was giving to it.

"By the way." He put his glass back on the table. "Is your decision final? Are you really gonna end your stay here on Sunday?" Humour was still visible on his face but I sensed gloominess suddenly surrounding us.

"Yes." I gulped, feeling my chest tightening.

"But you can extend it. I can talk to them---"

"It's final, Ez." I looked down as I couldn't bear to look at his eyes knowing that I was gonna miss it so much. "I need to go on with my life outside."

He smiled a little. "What about your life here? Are you just gonna forget it?"
