Chapter 14

If only I could. I sighed as I bitterly smiled. "I've been thinking about lots of stuff. Your offer is pending since it's in the last line." I just humoured him.

"Ouch. Can't I be a priority?"

I managed to chuckle but failed to utter a word. I just savoured the feeling of resting on his chest. He stopped combing my hair and wrapped both of his masculine arms on my waist while I was still on his top. I closed my eyes, savouring his warm hug. I felt so safe around him like no one could hurt me. His hug made me feel like I was protected at all costs.

I woke up in a soft bed with a cold breeze hugging my body plus the care of the comforter. My brows crossed as I sat and leaned my back on the headboard. I could smell Ezra's perfume all over his room. I massaged my head as I tried to remember what happened yesterday night. I fell asleep on top of him. I bit my lower lip but a smile formed as I thought deeply of what happened that whole night; it was a blast. My heart was jumping with joy.
