Chapter 6

“Well, Liam you have to drop me off at a bank.” She said as Liam walked up and stood beside her, leaning on the locker.

“Which Annie-bear?”

“This one,” she said and showed him the address of the bank which, Mila had sent her.

“The national bank? Sure.” He said handed her the phone back. Annalise smiled at him and he leaned down and pulled one side of her cheek.

“Ouch!” She exclaimed and rubbed her cheek.

“Don’t be so dramatic,” he said rolling his eyes off.

Lise just smiled in response and Liam made his way back to Annalise’s wheelchair and held the handles on either side and began pushing her out. It was all fine, till they were ganged up by, Ayesha.

“Well well well, if it isn’t the little Miss. cripple herself.” She said and circled them with her so-called ‘friends’.

Ayesha was the mayor’s daughter. She had never been denied anything and had always been… bit dumb. She might have gotten to study at Eastwood high but she wasn’t up to Eastwood high’s academic standards. She was nothing but a bimbo, who had a reputation for bullying and harassing the weaker kids. And so was her little group of four friends.

Ayesha had her eyes set on Liam for a long time now. She wanted him. The fact that she got everything made it bad for Annalise. She was dead set on having Liam as her boyfriend, she had let her guard down and had asked him out but Liam had denied it upfront. He didn’t want a relationship, especially not with Ayesha.

Liam was used to the attention. Once a nerdy teen had now turned out to be the hot and desirable football captain. With his tall height curly and dusty blonde hair greyish-brown eyes, few piercings here and there, he looked all so swoonable.

Ayesha was naturally jealous that Annalise got all of Liam’s attention, while she thought it was supposed to be her, who actually deserved it.

Just when Liam was about to open his mouth to shut Ayesha up, his phone pinged and he looked up to see coach Carson’s text. He opened it and it was a team meeting, regarding the upcoming inter-school football championship to clear to the nationals. Last season had proved to be very fruitful for them and so coach Carson put extra effort to make sure Eastwood high remains the reigning champions.

“Annalise, I have to go but I’ll drop you to my car. Coach Carson wants to address us regarding the upcoming championship.” He says and eyes Ayesha with disgust.

On noticing the disgust, Ayesha clenched her fists and ground her perfectly straightened and whitened teeth together. Once upon a time, Ayesha had one of the most crooked teeth in school. According to her, she was perfect by all means but her teeth ruined her outward looks. So she begged and rolled and cried for her parents to get her teeth fixed.

Her parents would have done it eventually but seeing their little princess beg, cry and roll off on the ground, hurt their hearts. So they did what their daughter wanted, getting her teeth fixed. She had had some sort of metallic thing in her mouth for the treatment since she was seven, up until she turned fifteen. That is when she felt proud of herself.

She looked perfect. To maintain her beauty, she would often get her face scrubbed and her eyebrows waxed, it was more like a weekly routine for her. Tanning was a topmost priority and so was bleaching and coloring her hair every month.

Her parents didn’t restrict any of it. Her mother failed to tell her the side effects of all these harmful toxins on her hair. Her mother even let Ayesha get her laser hair removal done when she was sixteen. Patsy, her mother was in a beauty pageant herself and believed that the only way to get a man’s attention and his credit card was caking faces with makeup.

Patsy and the mayor didn’t really have too much of a great relationship themselves. Except for the fact that his kids would be affected by the divorce and it wouldn’t be great for his reputation if he leaves her. Ayesha had a brother as well, Adam, one class younger. He was just like his sister, self-centered, selfish, and poor at studies.

He drowned himself in video games and always picked on kids who were weak. Like sister, like a brother. Both of them together were Eastwood High’s biggest bullies and their favorite victim was Annalise.

Lise for Ayesha because she had Liam’s attention. And for Adam, because he wanted Annalise for well… to fuck her. He had lusted over Annalise and didn’t hesitate to blurt it out loud. Adam was one of those people who had seen Lise’s beauty and not her wheelchair. He didn’t even mind if she had it or not but he had always been interested in Lise. He didn’t even hide it from her. He had tried persuading her but turns out, Lise was a hard nut.

His persuasive nature, rippled her, which caused her to form a distaste for him. He was nothing but a rich and disgusting pervert.

She didn’t like the siblings but kept it to herself.

Adam was well aware of Lise’s not-so-submissive nature. Sure, when threatened or anything, she would have submitted but on a general note, she had too much pride in herself. In a good way.

But if anyone touched her weak point, her being crippled, she would go all sad in a second. She didn’t like it. She had accepted the fact that she wasn’t normal and god didn’t gift her legs like others. She had legs, but they were just useless. But she didn’t want to be reminded about it every moment.

Nobody had seen her for who she was as a person but just judged her outward looks.

“Come on,” Liam said as he roughly pushed past Ayesha, making her stumble back, which made Ayesha stare at Liam in disbelief. That caused more bitterness to fill in the young teen’s heart for Lise. He helped Annalise out and sit down in the car.

“I’ll be back soon, okay?” He asked her, leaning on the window frame of his car.

“Okay.” She said nodding cutely. Liam smiled at his innocent friend and placed his hand on the back of her head and pulled her close and placed a chaste kiss on her forehead before jogging off to coach Carson’s room, with the knapsack over his shoulder.

Annalise looked at his retreating back with a small smile and shifted her gaze ahead before pulling her phone out from the jacket pocket and began scrolling through her I*******m.

Like every other k-pop fan, she had her I*******m feed filled with all k-pop artists. She scrolled down the posts before coming to halt and swooning over Jungkook and Suga.

How she had wished several times that they’d marry her but turns out, they don’t even know she exists. They were the hottest men she had seen. She would do anything to actually touch them. Even frame her hand and not wash it, if one of them or anyone one from BTS toucher her hand as a matter of fact. Jokes apart, she actually loved them.

She had spent half of her time listening to Korean pop and watching dramas. Her favorite song is kookie’s still with you and Blackpink's kill this love and twice’s doughnut.

She had given all of her heart to the BTS members. They just… took her breath away.

She was busy fangirling when someone from the back came and smacked her head, making her drop the phone down on the car’s mat and looked to her side stated and her mouth hung open.

She moved her palm to her head and rubbed it over her honey-brown hair. She looked at Ayesha staring down at her with nothing but disgust and hate.

“Look at her lost in her own dream world,” she snickered, scrunching her nose in disgust.

Annalise looked at her with a blank face but she did kinda have the notion of why she was here. The fact Ayesha didn’t get to unleash her wrath on Annalise in the halls of Eastwood high, didn’t make it any better.

“Ayesha, please leave me alone,” Lise said in her soft voice and pursing her blush pink lips.

“Not so soon.” She snapped narrowing her eyes at Lise.

“Now see, I have a proposal for you.”

“If you manage to convince Liam to go out with me, I will make sure my brother is off your back. I’ll see to it that’s he doesn’t touch you at every opportunity he gets, which I believe he does a lot.” She says with a vicious smirk, leaning against the window frame and tucking a stray strand of Lise’s hair behind.

It was true, Adam would often time would get touchy with her but when she tried to complain, it was dismissed because he was a popular kid. Also, nobody wanted to deal with the hot-headed mayor or his plastic wife, who was much of a nuisance.

“Ayesha…” she didn’t let Annalise finish, with one final flick on her forehead, she walked away, leaving Annalise in confusion.

Her forehead hurt but she was lost to bother about it. She couldn’t shake off what Ayesha had told her. Their encounter wasn’t the best one but it sure wasn’t the worst either. She was just lucky that Ayesha didn’t do something more.

“Hey, I saw Ayesha walk from here,” Liam jumped in his car and tossed his knapsack back.

“Annie-bear, did she do something?” He asked, pinching her chin with his index and thumb and turning her face to him.

Her beautiful green eyes looked lost as he stared at them in confusion.

“Annalise?” He called to and she snapped out her thoughts when she heard her name.

“It was my mistake. I should have closed the stack,” he muttered under his breath but Lise heard him.

“I’m fine. It was nothing.” She dismissed it like it was nothing.

“If you say so,” He said as he roared the engine to life. Annalise bent down and picked up her phone which was a little dirty now, but pulling a tissue from the box, wiped it down.

“The bank,” he said as he programmed the address in the GPS and drove off.
