Chapter Thirty

“Dr. Spencer, I need you to quit smiling and tell me what calls for the sudden session today?” Spencer suddenly gave him a Skype call there in his office, distracting him from his work. The old doctor had been smiling since he picked the call, and it was pissing Anthony off, yet he remained in his calm. “Get your skates on, Spencer, I’ve got an appointment by twelve.”

“Have you gone through the mails I sent you last night?”

“I’m too busy to go through my private email, so it’s clear I didn’t. What about it?”

“It was your father’s research book, which I sent you. And the good news is… we found the cure at last.” Spencer gave a big grin.

Anthony froze, gazing at Spencer. Did he hear Spencer correctly? Or was this a dream? It was sudden, unexpected, and unbelievable. He wasn’t sure whether to be glad or full of questions. He hadn’t dreamed for four years. Was his first dream after four years aiming to prank him with his longings? He tilted his head down questioningly, his brow raised. “
