Three

I was watching everywhere in fear, wondering what was next in line for my fate. No one had come to me yet for any punishment, increasing my fear. Why were they planning against me? Had they forgotten my presence? I hadn’t even been called to clean up the pack house, I was grateful for that, but it elevated my fear.

I curled up in a ball against the wall, hoping I was going to wake up and realize the entire drama of Alpha Keegan being my mate was nothing but a nightmare.

My hopes were crushed when a huge figure appeared by the door frame, walking over the broken pieces of my room door.

“Take her with you.”

I lifted my gaze to meet the fury burning in the chocolate eyes of Shane. He was staring at me like I was a piece of rotten junk that needed to be gotten rid of.

My heart's palpitations increased when two hefty men in their regular Black and Red guard uniform walked up to me and lifted me up by my arm.

“Please… please don’t harm me. I promise I never meant any harm.”

“You’re a shame to this pack. You’ve disrespected the Alpha and his pride. What’s the probability that you won’t end up stabbing this pack in the back? Useless mutts like you don’t even deserve to live. Take her away! Let her rot in the class one dungeon.”

“Class one dungeon?!” I and the two guards asked in unison.

“Class one dungeon prisons are meant for the most dangerous criminals. She won’t survive there.” The first guard stated.

“It’s the Alpha’s order. How dare you argue?” he glared at me.

“I’m sorry.” The guard bowed his head and tugged at my arm.

“Please. You can’t do this to me. Please. Help!” I screamed at the top of my lungs, refusing to budge.

The guards were able to easily overcome my strength and lifted my arms to raise me off my feet. Since they were taller, I was hanging between them.

“Please no! I can fix this. Please. No one ever returns from the dungeon. Please! I can resume suffering here.” I cried, kicking my feet in the air as they both pulled me out of the room.

Everyone in the pack house had their attention drawn to me, uttering hateful words or laughing to one another. Not even a look of pity was on any of their faces.

“She thought she could feel mighty by rejecting the Alpha.” Someone spat.

“How useless.”

“So shameless.”

“Such an ordinary mutt.”

I spotted Scarlett speaking with Crystal, Mason’s wife and the pack Doctor. “Beta Scarlett. Please save me.” I screamed. “I can’t survive in the class one dungeon. Please.” I cried.

“Class one dungeon?” Worry crossed her face at my words and the chatterings increased.

— “Class one dungeon?” someone chuckled. “I just knew Alpha wouldn't go easy on her.”

“She’s definitely going to die a painful death.” Someone laughed.

Scarlett couldn’t do anything as they dragged me out of the pack house. The utterings continued from everyone in town that stared as they dragged me. Hateful words were said against me, even children had hatred in their eyes for me. Hatred was everywhere, just as Alpha Keegan had built the pack to be filled with, towards Omegas and in general activities.

The walk to the class one dungeon felt like forever. I still begged them to have mercy on me, but they turned deaf ears to my pleas.

I was welcomed by darkness when we arrived at the dungeon. The torch was turned on and the guard pushed me to the floor.

“Please,” I knelt down, joining my hands together. “I can’t survive here. I promise to be an even better slave to everyone in the pack house. I’ll even be the slave for the entire pack, just don’t let me stay here.” I begged in the best way I could; the stories I had heard of this place scared me.

“Can you just shut up for once?” The blonde guard snapped at me. “Let’s chain her up. I can't stand to be here any longer, it’s suffocating.”

“Please.” I cried, sniffling.

They chained my arms and legs to the wall and took their leave. A wave of cold breeze suddenly hit my skin. My clothes were too flimsy to handle any form of cold. Why on Earth was it cold underground?

A few hours passed, my body was already very cold and I was shivering.

I heard a loud sound from across the room then the chains lowered, causing me to fall from the wall. The force at which I fell made me hit my head. It seemed like an automatic machine had increased the length of the chain from the wall. I tried to pull my arms if they were going to be free, but the chains still held them back. My head started to feel like it was throbbing and my vision became blurry till I lost consciousness.

“Jane, Jane!” Someone groaned, shaking my shoulders.

Fluttering my eyelashes, I slowly opened my eyes, unable to take in my surroundings.

“Jane!” Someone shook my shoulder again, snapping me back to my senses.

My vision still felt blurry from the headache I felt. I only noticed someone was crouched in front of me in a long hooded black coat that covered more than half of the person's face. When the person lifted his head, my eyes locked with a pair of sapphire eyes in front of me, causing the giddiness to leave me immediately.

I jerked up to my feet and was immediately pulled back down by the rustling chains around me.

“Do you know me?” The deep voice said, a smile forming on the person’s lip from underneath the hood.

“Y-you… Who the hell are you? You're not a guard, you shouldn't be here.”

“Don't you worry about that. The problem now is you. You’re here, locked up in a dungeon rather than being in the pack house.”

“It’s not my fault. The moon goddess decided to toil with my life by making Alpha Keegan my mate. I had to reject him before his rejection harmed me.”

“You’re as weak and useless as ever.” A few strands of red hair were exposed from the coat.

“Alpha Keegan and I can never be mates. We don't belong to the same rank.”

“Foolish and foolish. Wouldn't you have preferred to be the Alpha's Mate, the Luna if the Dark Stone pack, than the good for nothing omega you've always been.”

“Alpha Keegan would've rejected me. Who are—”

I was interrupted by the rustling sound of the dungeon gates. I lifted my gaze to the gate as an unfamiliar guard walked in. I turned my head back to where the person in a coat was, but there was no one.

“Who were you speaking to?” He asked and I shook my head faster than normal, hoping he wasn't going to notice my heartbeat.

After checking around, he took his leave. I also searched around, but there was no sign of anybody.

Was I going crazy? There was definitely someone here a few seconds ago.
