Old rumors new days

“What happened” Scarlet whispered leaning towards me at our table trying not to get caught talking in class. “Supposedly I attacked Duke unprovoked in the hall and gave him a black eye, oh and supposedly I used my wolf to do so.” I replied rolling my eyes at how ridiculous all this was. I heard a giggle escape Scarlet but a stern look from our teacher ended the conversation at that point. I was still wondering how Duke got a black eye but decided it probably was him and his friends trying to get me into trouble so pushed it to the back of my mind to focus on science class. We were discussing why shifting was important for a werewolf especially if we had to eat raw meat and how it digested definitely in wolf form compared to human form. This was a semi common topic for people to get grossed out learning so our teacher had to keep the class focused but I could hear someone in the back of the classroom whispering to their lab partner. “Not like Rouge will ever need to know this, stupid wolfless she-wolf.” A heard a mumbled response then silence. I knew I wasn’t shifting to protect myself but you would think after the last five years the topic of my wolf would be old news. I glanced back to see one of girls who hung around Charlotte whispering into the ear of a male student I didn’t recognize but shrugged it off. Only one pack was here already I just probably didn’t recognize him because I tried to keep a low profile. Plus why would there be another pack kid joining us in class, it was weird enough that Thomas was in the school, I glanced back making sure it wasn’t Thomas since I had only seen him the once this morning but this guy had dark short hair and blue eyes. “Timothy, so why are you and Thomas here and who’s older?” Charlotte’s friend asked I could see him roll his eyes at her question. “Thomas is a year younger then me, a junior though eighteen already, I just turned nineteen last month. Our schools are a bit different then yours so our father wanted us to experience a week with y’all. Alpha Theodore wants me to use the knowledge I gain to maybe change our way of things at our pack when we get home.” Timothy answered. "So which of you brothers will take over as Alpha?" The chirpy little blonde asked obvilously hopping making she could be a Luna. "It works different in our pack, we dont know yet. We have to fight for it after my brother turns twentyone." He replied looking bored at her obvious fake flirtaion as she was leaning on the edge of her seat towards him. That was defiently different, I thought all packs just went by eldest male or eldest in general. I was curious what pack he was from, I didn't remember Alpha James mentioning a Alpha Theodore but then again I hadn't been in line to need to know that type of info for years now. I shrugged off the feeling of eyes on me and focused back in on class.

After a while I couldn't help but glance back and was met with a smirk from Timothy. He still wasn't my type but I could admit he was attractive, those blue eyes seemed to burn into me even with the distance between us but something made me feel uneasy about him. Maybe it was lack of dealing with other packs but a feeling of danger was brewing in my mind. The brush of my wolf against the barrier in my mind had me even more stir crazy, class couldn't end fast enough. I was looking forward to the bell and getting away from his gaze. "Rouge." Scarlet nudged me, the bell was ringing loudly; my eyes had been fixed on the door and I hadn't even noticed as peiple around me gathered their things to leave. "So he's the brother of the blonde?" She asked kinda waving towards Timothy. "Yeah, Timothy and Thomas; sons of Alpha Theodore. Do you rememeber a Alpha Theodore??" I reply gathering my stuff. "Nope but that's funny all their names start with T." she giggled follow me to our next class. I was thankful not to run into Duke again but the halls were buzzing with the news of the boys being in the school. Charlotte had made it known they were staying at the pack house and people were talking about how I attacked Duke but how could the wolfless girl take on Duke was the question that everyone asked. I just wanted to get through the next month. Rumors would eventually get borring right??

"Rouge." A voice I dreaded called my name as I walked into English class, I looked up to see Flint. If he wasn't such a ass he would be the closest to my type in this whole school but he was also the main reason I hated school. His shaggy long hair was pulled up into a man bun saying he was looking forward to sparring today. His hazel eyes met mine as I sat in my desk hoping whatever he was about to say wouldn't piss me off to much but as always that wasn't the case. "I heard you hit Duke for calling you a future pleasure slave." His cocky attiude always got my wolf pressing against the barrier and the fimliar pressure begain to build. Something about him made every part of me on edge but also angry. "You wish Flint, just like I told Duke it's the only way either of you would ever touch me." I replied glaring at him. "Oh no Rouge, I am still hoping Alpha James tosses you off pack land with nothing but the clothes on your back." He laughed looking down at me. "Oh really Flint, I'm supirsed knowing what I do about you, should I maybe tell everyone here about your Aunt who got tossed out of the pack?" I glared up at him feeling the barrier start to weaken. "Careful Rouge, I've heard if you don't graduate the Alpha will just toss you. Your not helpful to any pack without Alpha's James backing. You'll end up alone on the streets just like your filthy father." He leaned down into my face. I don't know what happened but suddenly I had enough and I grabbed his neck slamming his face into my desk. "Watch is Flint." I growled into his ear before releasing him. The look on his face told me I just fucked up, the whispers that irrupted around me told me I really really just messed up. I glanced at Scarlet and her smile told me that she was happy I put him in his place but man this was going make the rumors worse and I prayed wasn't going to result in me getting kicked out of school. I only had a month left. I mentally smacked myself for letting my temper get the best of me.

"He deserved it." I turned to meet the eyes of a stranger, my breath caught in my throat, this defiently wasn't a student and I knew his wasn't a member of the dark woods pack either. This man in front of me was covered in tattoos I could see the edges of them at the collar of his shirt and across his hands. His hair was pulled back exposing the sides of his head which were also decorated in tattoos, a thin scar ran down the side of his face, hazel green eyes met mine as I took in the form of his arms. "Um what do you mean?" I finally mumble. "That boy deservered more then just a face full of desk." His eyes glimmed with something I had never seen before and man did I want to find out what that look ment but I seemed to forget had to speak in his presence. "You won't get kicked out for that Rouge, I'll make sure they knew he egged you on." He smiled at me and walked off. I'll admit I watched him walk away, I had never seen a man like that beside the movies.
