Ericka

Today has been very tiring, my body aches from both beatings and stress, I did most work because Mayna was angry for whatever reason, and she decided to lash out at me.

There is something about Alpha Dane that drew my attention to him when he had saved me earlier, I felt a spark as I feel attracted to him but I don't know why. When he asked me for a glass of wine and I brought it to him, the moment our hands touched, tingles shot through my entire body that I have to walk away shyly.

I was busy checking him out when Adam walked up to me to tell me that everyone was busy doing one thing or the other and I can use the opportunity to rest, I can't risk it so I shook my head but he said something that makes me laughed “come out with me” he said

He didn't wait for my attention before dragging me out with him “you do know, we have to serve the guest if we don't want to land in trouble”

“You have been working since Ericka, let me massage your foot and you can go back to continue,” he said

I met Adam here the first day I was kidnapped, he has helped me in understanding the situation I was into and also save me from Mayna and her mother most times which always him also in trouble “what's with that Alpha” he suddenly asked

“What Alpha are you talking about,” I asked confused as I sat down letting him massage my feet

“That one that seen to be keen on you” he explained

“Yoh must be talking about Alpha Dane, he was the one that rescue me from Mayna”

“He seems to be powerful, all the other fear him,” he said

“I don't know and I don't even care I don't want any more problems today,” I said

“Just be careful, he can snap neck in a second”

He does not need to warn me twice before I know to keep my distance, I wanted to ask Adam about what he had said about rejecting me but decide against it wanting to keep it to myself, and also I have felt a heart pain the moment he said it “are you okay” I heard Adam asked

“I am,” I stood up stopping him from massaging my feet any further “we better get inside before someone starts to look for us,” I said

“Okay” he answered to my relieve

We went back inside and thankfully no one noticed that we were gone. After the meet up and the ball room, every was gone leaving I and the other maid to clean the room. We did it deligently and by the time we were done, I was already tired and too weak to do any other thing so I went to bed but not before setting up my alarm.

The following morning, the alarm woke me up causing me to groan because I haven’t rested enough and my body was still sore, rubbing my eyes, I stood up and started with my daily routine, Mayna walked into the kitchen with her grumpy attitude “Ericka, come here” she command

My heart pounded against my chest wondering what I must have done wrong this early morning, I look around, there was no one to save me from her wrath this morning, I gulped as I walked closer to her “do you need anything” I asked with so much cautioned

“Yes, I want you to stay the hell away from my mate”

I was shocked, I didn’t know she has found her mate but what I don’t understand is that how am I involved in this, the only guy I stayed or joked around with is Adam and there is no way an ordinary Omega will be mated to the almighty alpha daughter “you mean Adam”

She laughed hysterically like I have said the worst thing ever “Adam is my real mate but I already rejected him, you can have him but I am talking about Alpha Dane”

How can she be so heartless but I dare not speak that “I don't know anything about what you are talking about” I replied

“Just don't let me catch you with him, I will get rid of you as soon as I became his Luna,” she said dreamily making me roll my eyes in my head

“Okay” I replied not knowing what to say again

“You can get your pathetic life away from me now and greet my ex-mate for me wherever you see him”

I didn't look back or answer her as I walked away from her, I went in search of Adam “why didn't you tell me” I smack his head first when I saw him cleaning the bottles of wine, one of them wanted to fall but he caught it on time.

“Don't startle me like that again and what are you talking about now”

“You said you are going to tell me if you find your mate” I accused

“But I haven't found her yet” he grunted

“That's a lie, Mayna said you guys are mate”

The look on his face changed as he didn't try to mask the sadness in his eyes any longer “I was going to bed last night when I smell her scents and discovered she was my mate, she didn't give me the chance before she goes I Mayna reject you and so on with me”

The last sentence he had said sounded familiar to me “hold on, someone said that to me yesterday” the expression on his face changed

“Why didn't you tell me sooner, you are a human, you can't bear the pain alone”

“I am fine” apart from the pain I felt when he said those words and when I saw Mayna's hands on his chest but I can't feel anything now

“Who is the fool that rejects such a beauty like you,” he asked touching my shoulder

“Alpha Dane” I replied nonchalantly

He slammed his hand over my mouth “do you know the gravity of what you just said that Alpha Dane is your mate”

I stared at him blankly as I haven’t said that “I did not say something like that Adam, I only said he said something about rejection to me yesterday” I corrected him removing his hand from my mouth.

“You are too naive Ericka, for him to have reject you, it means that you are his mate” he draws out

“There is no way I can be his mate, I am just an ordinary with nothing to offer him”

“There must have been a reason, I can’t believe he rejected you”

“Fuck them, we got each other” I don’t always feel timid or shy whenever I am with Adam and I always get to express myself well

“Will you be my girlfriend then” he asked surprising me

“Adam, what are you saying”

“We both lose our mate, so we are free to date”

I have been crushing on him ever since he helped me but because he is a low rank wolf, I was happy to just be his friend so as not to lose him “I will be your girlfriend” I told him happily

He hugged me “you just make me the happiest man and I promise to get us out of here” he told me with so much determination in his eyes

“We better get back to work” I said with a smile plastered on my face

He pulls me back for another hug but held me tightly “what is happening here” A growl was heard behind us

We quickly separated from each other “nothing” I replied scared to look at the person even though my body was pushing me toward the person

“Alpha Dane, what are you doing at this side of the kitchen, do you wine or something,” he asked but I can sense fear all over him

I hold his hand to encourage him, and he looked at me with a smile but when we look at the intruder and the death glare he was throwing at Adam, he quickly removes his hand from mine, what's wrong with him.

“Get out,” he said

I and Adam looked at each other not knowing who he was referring to, I divided to leave but his grip stopped me “not you but him”

Adam rushed away without looking back to see the pleading look I was giving him “I don't want to ever see you with him again” he half yelled at me

He was the one that rejected me, why is he acting this way again, Mayna's warning begins to ring in my ear “I can't be seen with you” I remove my hand from his grip wanting to walk away but he grabbed them more firmly “You are mine” he slammed his lips on mine.
