Chapter Seventy Three: How True Love Changes People

Most people think that true love is all about fairytales, glitters and fluttering feelings, where everything is just right and where the spark will always burn hot and bright. But, the truth is, true love still takes work. And, if it is real, it will never be over.

Exactly three weeks later. .

"How's mom? Did she take her medications?" Zoey asked as soon as she arrived at their house in Illinois from working and supervising her boutique shop the whole day, even though it was a Sunday. Zamantha nodded while typing something on her laptop. She was sitting alone on the living area while Azlan was napping beside her on the couch.

Zoey gently put Hera from her arms down to the couch, beside Azlan. "She's sleeping now. She spent the entire day reading my story. I'm just glad she's recovering quickly."

Zoey's eyes widened. "Really? When are you going to submit your manuscripts to a publisher anyway?" Zoey asked and sat on the adjacent couch to relax for the meantime.
