CHAPTER 54: The fault of her parents

NARRATIVE

"Sis Adele," Adele heard Clara called as she knocked on her room door.

Adele's eyes were wide open and she had some eyebags due to lack of sleep. She couldn't sleep for hours since she returned from the company yesternight.

Forcing herself to sit up her bed, she pushed the duvet off upper body as she leaned against her bed's headboard and stared at her room door.

"Come in, Clara." She said.

The door opened and Clara gasped when she saw her sister's face.

"Sis? What's happened? You didn't sleep, did you?"

Adele smiled slightly and shake her head.

"Don't worry Clara, I slept a bit. With the recent events surrounding my company I've just been so stressed out and had a lot to think of." She raised a hand to her face and pushed off the strands of hair on her face.

Clara nodded slightly, even though she didn't buy her sister's response.
