ADELE'S POV

I stared with widened eyes at Carlo.

What does this mean? What does he mean?

'I've been thinking, Adele. Would you mind wearing the white dress again?' His words repeated in my head, emphasis on the second sentence.

OMG! Is this what I'm thinking it is? A proposal?...

For some seconds, I was silent while my heart kept leaping joyously within me.

"Ah, I mean the dress you had on few days ago. It does suit you well." He said with a somewhat nervous chuckle while I felt as though I'd been waken to reality from a really enthralling dream.

"Oh the dress...ah, I see." I managed a smile to cover my disappointment. "You must really like it. I'd wear it again for you." I said and he smiled.

"Thank you." He grinned, unaware of the damages his previous unharmful sentence has caused me.

I forced a smile and went back to my phone.
