THE RESIDENTS are enjoying the Duncan Mills Festival. The place is brightly decorated, and the streets are bustling with people.

"Clyde, try this one!" Callie smiled as she took the scary mask merchandise from a roadside stall and handed it to Clyde.

Clyde immediately did as Callie instructed and donned the mask. "Do I appear frightening enough now?"

Callie laughed and grabbed another mask, which she put on as well.

"Are you going to buy them?" the female vendor inquired sternly.

Callie and Clyde both winced, removed their masks, and ran away laughing.

"That sales lady was rude," Clyde said, referring to the vendor who had been rude to them. They're now eating street food on the side of the road while watching people dance in the street.

Callie laughed as she finished her fish cake. "Leave her alone; maybe she's just having a bad day."

Clyde nodded, biting into his food. "Maybe."

They ordered more food and chatted more.
