Chapter 18

"HERA, come on, pick up your phone," Marcus said, holding his phone up to his ear. He has attempted to contact Hera several times, but she has not returned his calls. While waiting for a ride to Duncan Mills, he grew restless by the side of the dark road. He was worried because he needed to warn Hera about Althaia.

The evening Marcus and Anton had their first meeting, Anton decided to inform Althaia of Marcus' information regarding the whereabouts of his daughter Hera, their plans to find Calista, and their intention to depose Althaia as their queen. Due to his belief that Althaia is more powerful than Calista, he reasoned that doing so would make their situation much safer.

In return for the information he gave Althaia, Anton requested that she spare Hera's life and only punish her with a non-death sentence.

As soon as Marcus noticed a tricycle slowly approaching, he waved his hand.
