Colin’s POVColin sat on the log, holding one of Adina’s hands in his, with his eyes closed. He heard Adina’s breathing change. It became deeper and more relaxed. He felt the tingling that he always felt when he and Adina touched increase. It felt like bubbles travel from Adina’s hand to his.“Open your eyes,” Adina whispered.Colin opened his eyes, and he couldn’t believe what he saw. All around him there were thin wisps of what looked like mist. But they glimmered in different colours and moved around, in between and through everything. Colin’s POVColin was stunned when Adina stood up and told him in no uncertain terms that she would not stand for him using his alpha command on her. It was pure fury that emanated from her, and he didn’t know if he should be scared, impressed, or turned on by the intense flame in her eyes. Colin had pulled her back against his chest, draping his arms around her, crossing in front of her. He surrounded her, and she felt safe and started to relax. She leaned her back to rest on his chest and felt him placing his chin on top of her head.“Thank you”, she said with a relaxing sigh.“For what?” he wondered.“Everything, for wanting to know about my past, for listening to me, for letting me cry, for making me laugh and for not leaving”, she said honestly.“You don’t have to thank me, baby.
