Chapter 14

I woke up lying next to him. A smile graced upon my face as I saw his beautiful face looking so adorable. His lips were slightly open as he silently snore. His lashes was too visible to see because his eyes were closed. His red lips also looks so tempting to get a taste. I shook my head and giggled softly.

I got up and headed towards the shower. I took my time cleaning myself before I went downstairs. I found mommy Cam cooking. I offered a help and she gladly accepted my offer. Both of us were chatting as we enjoy our bonding time together.

I woke up around 5, and went downstairs around 6. After preparing the breakfast, I called Reui and the twins from their respective rooms. It's around 7 am now.

“Wow, you cooked these?” he mused, looking at me happily.

I sheepishly smiled. “No. I only help mommy Cam to prepare this. She cook these delicious food, not me.”

“Ah, don't flatter me so much, dear. You help me with the cooking, so the credits shall go upon you, too. You're quite a fast learner and obedient. I'm pretty sure more practice will help you improve a lot.”

“Thanks, mommy Cam.”

She smiled sweetly. We sat on our designated seats. And of course, Reui was sitting beside me. Some people joined us on our breakfast and it was pretty alright to us. The cooks were also preparing for their own breakfast—for all the members staying in this house.

After the breakfast, Reui and I changed clothes—separately. I wore a loose pants and fitted sleeveless halter top. When I looked at his outfit, he was casually wearing a jogger pants and a white shirt. Both of us looking so casual... like a couple. Geez!

“Let's go?” he asked and flashed a smile. He extended his hand. I held his hand on mine and he intertwined it. “Worry not, we are only gonna roam around the clearing. There would be no rogues again, I promise.”

“What are we gonna do in the clearing?”

“Remember what I told you last night?” he asked. I nodded. “Well, I'm keeping my promise.”

My eyes widened. “Really?!”

“Yep. But I have to talk with my men first before that. Is it alright with you?”

“Yes, yes!” I exclaimed, eyes brightening. When I said I will give this relationship a shot, I meant it. I want to start anew with him. I'll try to reciprocate his feelings. Cultivating our feelings are not too late.

And what happened last day made me realize something.

I don't want to lose him.

We went to the clearing, holding hands. I tried to pull my hands but he never allowed me. I just let out an annoyed sigh and roll my eyes.

“Hi, alpha! I didn't expected to see you here!” said by Catherine as she pounced into him, embracing him tightly. Her boobs were flushed to him as she was only wearing a sports bra.

I pursed my lips and crossed my arms around my chest. 

“Yeah, Katia and I decided to roam around,” he said and gently push her.

Catherine's face turned sour for a second before she flashed an another fake sweet smile.

“Oh, really? You two must be bored inside the house! Good thing you peeled yourself from work. You've been working a lot recently, alpha. I'm worried about you.”

No need to worry, b*tch! I am his mate and I could worry about him without you!

“I'm fine, Cath. Anyway, what were you doing here? I thought you went out of the pack?”

“Ah, yes. I actually went home last night, so earlier, after the breakfast I decided to go sweating.” She fanned herself through her hands, pretending she was feeling hot. She purposely bared her breast and neck to him.

F*ck! I want to punch her smug face!

“I see. Very well, we'll take our leave now. I promised Katia to show her my wolf.” He smiled kindly and held my hands. Intertwining our fingers again. He brought my hand to his lips and kissed it in front of her.

Now, it was my turn to smirk at Catherine smugly. Huh, even if she's naked in front of him, he would not take a liking towards her. Reui only sees her nothing but a sister. I'm the love of his life.

Seeing my smug face, her eyes darkened.

Though, she quickly composed herself. She faked a brightened face. 

“Oh, really? You'll show her your wolf? I remember when we were kids you used to show me your wolf, too! Remember I was the first person to see you shifting? I can't forget that day, it was memorable. You always carry me on your back, back then. You used to show me your beautiful black, big wolf.” She giggled and stole glance at me.

My smirk dropped. I fisted my hands. Really, huh? Do you think I'll get jealous over this things? Dream on, b*tch. So what if she was the first person to see him shifting to his wolf form? What if they used to be close? My mate certainly doesn't like her romantically. It was a plain, platonic relationship between a pack member. Since Catherine's brother is the beta and Reui is the alpha, I'm sure Reui often see her because of her brother. And I bet it was a coincidence when she saw him had his first shift. 

No, I'm not jealous. I'm f*cking not jealous.

“Yeah,” Reui laughed. 

“Anyway, can I tag along? I'm done with my workout. I also want to see your wolf again. It's been awhile. Is it okay? I'm sure luna Katia wouldn't mind, too. Right, luna?” She shifted her gaze on me with an exceedingly sweet smile.

I clenched my jaw. I want to be rude and decline her right away, but Reui suddenly look at me expectantly. Remembering our conversation the other day, I sighed and forced a smile.

“Y-Yes, of course. It's pretty alright.”

Even though all I wanted was to have an alone time with Reui...

“Wow, thank you for your kindness, Katia! I'm sure you'll become a good Luna in the near future!” she exclaimed before hooking her arm around Reui and practically dragging him with her. 

I gritted my teeth and let go of his hand. He shot me a confused look. I smiled sweetly and shook my head, forcefully.

Huh, let's just see who's gonna return home crying and heartbroken after this day...

And I knew, it would not be me.
