I was yet again blanketed by the night, its silence offering me comfort. I hadn't thought of what I would tell Damon when he comes into the room from his office to meet it empty but now, that was the least of my concerns

I was excited at what tonight could hold. I knew despite it, I had to be careful, careful of what I said and would do, I was taking such a huge risk.

If anything, no matter how small went wrong, then it would all be likey over for me. If anyone knew I was meeting the vampires late at night, I knew what would happen to me because I was committing the highest form of treason and it was part of the reason my stomach erupted with butterflies.

I, Eliana, was committing treason against the Dark Moon pack.

“This is wrong and you know it!” Hazel snapped at me.

“Or you could quit being a wolf, get a body of your own and make everything in this world all right and pristine,” I said, shutting her up.

The leaves crunched beneath my feet as I made my way through in hurried strides
