Bargaining

Denzel didn't have a reply or maybe he didn't know what to say.

"Why was he even helping her?" That was the same questions he has been asking himself since yesterday.

"Maybe because she is too innocent for this wicked world," he thought trying to convince himself.

"Stop talking nonsense, what could I be hiding or am I not supposed to help anyone?" He asked Dan back.

"I didn't mean it that way just that your enemies won't think the same way, I will be on my way now I have something to sort out. Should I send a girl to your hotel room tonight?"

"No, I'm not interested. Call me if it is urgent," he declined the offer and informed him.

Dan nodded and walked out of the study. Denzel remained in the study thinking. He had to set his mind straight and know what he was really doing before things get out of hand.

Purity took the plates to the kitchen and washed the dishes. She was finishing up drying the dishes when Denzel walked in.

"You shouldn't have done that," Denzel spoke at the door.

"Never mind, my hand doesn't hurt so much, I can manage,"

"Let me help you," he offered.

"Thank you but I'm done this is the last one I'm drying,"

"You feel pain in your leg?"

"After the ointment not much. Are you going to work?" She asked.

"When you are the boss, you go when you feel like. You said something about an interview, which company?"

     "Hans Tech company,"

"Ok, but you will be lucky next time," he encouraged her.

He didn't want to tell her that this was his company but why on earth will she want a job at another company yet her family has a company to?

He didn't want to push her, she will talk when she feels safe.

"It's a life time opportunity, who knows when next it will bring itself, but patience pays," she shrugged walking towards him.

"Do you have any movies? We can watch to pass time,"

      "That's your hobby?"

"No, my hobby is to cook but that's the only thing we can do to pass time,"

"Ok, you are a good cook?"

"I'll cook for you then you will be the judge, we will try dinner," she accepted the challenge.

Denzel nodded in agreement.

Rita had made calls to everywhere she could think Purity may have gone but got negative responses.

She sat on the couch frustrated thinking of the last option the police. She had second thoughts as she didn't know what to tell the police.

They will need details which she didn't even know.

"Sandy!" She called out and Sandy came to the living room after few minutes.

       "You called me mom,"

"Yes, you told me yesterday that Purity talked to her boyfriend on the phone before leaving?"

       "That's right mom,"

"Your dad knows how to open it, I want you to be here as your dad opens. You need to help us know more about him so that we can find your sister before the old man kills us,"

Sandy panicked, she didn't know what to expect from that phone.

       "Where is dad?" Sandy questioned.

"Somebody is looking for me?" Wilson asked walking downstairs.

"We were talking about you opening the phone," Rita chipped in.

"I have done that already and Sandy has an explaining to do. Why do you always send her to buy drinks for you?"

"Sandy doesn't drink, why would she send Purity for a drink?" Rita asked.

"Can't you shut up for a moment and let her answer or is she dumb?"

"I...," Sandy was trying to make up a lie but he interrupted her.

"Don't even try and lie to me because what I will do to you, it will passed to your fourth generation. Do you always send her for the drinks?"

      "Yes but...,"

"No buts. Why do you always mistreat her, who gave you the right?"

"Mom does to," she defended herself, there is no way she is going to take all the blame alone.

"So all the warnings I have been giving into this house were falling into deaf ears? Why are you so earger to find her yet you don't want her? Or maybe you are scared of what the old man will do?" Wilson asked his wife and she was speechless.

"That young man you are searching, give him some peace, I will look for my daughter alone and if I don't find her, the two of you should start packing your things," he spoke and walked out of the house.

Rita couldn't find the courage to question Sandy as she too was guilty but it wasn't all her  fault.

Everyone always complained how weak she was to be the first granddaughter of such a strong family.

She was so kind and innocent not what they expected for the business world and if not for the fact that she looked exactly like the old woman, they would have questioned the possibility of her being their blood.

Rita got up and left not uttering a word to her. She needed to think, to find her daughter, to make things right, she was so stupid to treat someone's else child and neglect her own.

Purity was not at fault, she never chose to be sick nor be weak, it was her duty as a mother to protect her but she failed.

Andrew was having a nap when Wilson arrived and was taken into the room. He opened his eyes to meet a new face and the first thing that clicked in his mind was the police.

"Good morning sir," he greeted respectfully.

"It's evening already," Wilson replied with a smile.

"Good evening sir, do you have more questions?"

      "How are you feeling?"

      "Better than yesterday," Andrew shrugged.

"I'm Purity's father," he introduced himself.

That explained why he looked farmiliar.

"I know you are her friend, and I also know you know where she is. Where is she? Is she hurt? Is she okay?"

"To be honest I did talk to her in the morning but she didn't tell me where she is. She said she borrowed the phone from a passerby and didn't know where she is but she promised to call once she knows where she is but she is okay,"

"Can I have the contact she used to call you?" Her dad requested.

"I must tell that I called the contact again and he said she doesn't even know that girl that she only borrowed his phone to use in making the call. I asked where he was at that time he said at the bus stop heading to the province that he works there and deals with so many people can't tell me which exact bus the girl took that's if she even boarded a bus," Andrew added taking his phone from the table beside him ready to give him the number.

"That can't help me, can you do me a favour, whenn next she calls you please let me know. You can also tell her I'm looking for her and she needs to come back home," for the first time in his life he begged.

The Wilson's aren't known for begging, they always get everything they want their own way.

"I shouldn't give you the contact?" Andrew asked.

"Yeah, it's evindent I won't get her through that number. I will give you any amount of money if you help me know where she is," he promised.

"Sir don't get offended, why do you want her so urgently?" Andrew questioned curiously.

This is the same girl they never cared if she was fine, if she had eaten, if she was feeling well, if she had taken her drugs, neither did anybody take her to the hospital for checkups. He was so confused that he( Wilson) wanted to know her whereabouts like she was some kind of treasure, was he (Andrew) missing anything?

"She is my daughter and my first daughter at that. I may always be busy with work but that doesn't change the fact that I love and care for her and rithy now she is missing. What if she has been kidnapped by my enemies and is being mistreated? I'm worried about her and so are you, aren't you?"

Andrew was at lose of words. If she cared so much about her then why did she allow her to be mistreated by her mom and sister?

"I understand, if she calls I won't forget to let you know," Andrew promised.

"Thank you so much," Wilson appreciated.

"You are welcomed," he gets a cheque from his pocket and hands to Andrew.

        "$200000," he exclaimed.

Never in his life as he ever touched such a huge some of money and what overwhelmed him more was the fact that the money is his.

In his mind he had already started planning on how he was going to spend the money.

"Sir, what if I don't find her, you know she is stubborn?"Andrew thought.

If he spends the Money without knowing the end of the bargain may land him into trouble and he didn't want that to happen at such a time.
