Waiting for him

"Son," Emily called out as he headed to his car and he stopped.

She always called him that anytime he was angry something his mom never did and he wasn't surprised.

       "Don't drive in that state,"

"I'm fine, you will come over to the house,"

"I love you as my own," he smiled and she waved as he went into the car.

Emily went back into the house and bumped into Millicent, Denzel's mom who was watching them through the window.

"What did you give to my son?" She questioned her eyes digging boreholes into her skin.

      "Nothing ma'am,"

"What she gave him doesn't matter, he listens to you so tell her the benefits of marrying this girl," Wayne spoke.

"Sir, I'm just a maid and in no position to tell him what to do," Emily replied facing down.

"Wow, you got some guts. It seems you don't like your job. You have to options, convince him to marry her or lose your job," Ian his brother threatened and she looked up to face him.

She has been working for the family since Denzel was twelve, so many years, why would they want to fire her because of this stupid reason. Is marriage by force? Have they checked the girl out, her character can't be admired.

She hasn't spent upto three hours in the house and yet she has brushed shoulders with almost all the workers, insulted the gardener and poured water on Iris, the coolest and most calm person in the mansion just because she was one minute late from getting her a glass of water.

If she becomes her daughter in law, Emily was sure she would have slapped sense into her but unfortunately she is not and that is why she will not allow her close to her boy, it's better she loses her job.

"She can't feed herself let alone the whole nursery in her house, this job is her life, she knows what's better," Millicent added but she just faced down.

Emily was raised in an orphanage and understood what it meant to be homeless and that was why wheh Denzel gave her a house, she decided to give home to some homeless kids and with his support and an orphanage she has managed to provide home, food and education to forty kids.

It has always been their little secret and she was sure she will be fine even if she leaves the mansion but had to keep cool first. Right now when things are being planned for him, they can even plan evil and she wanted to continue staying their to protect her little boy.

"I will try talking to him," shs said.

"Don't try do it," Wayne told her and she only nodded.

"Please I love him, he is my life. Help me make him marry me," Georgina begged.

"I can't promise anything, let me promise to try," she responded.

"For a start that would be fine. I'm sorry for my behavior earlier, I was in a bad mood,"

"If everyone will be poring their frustrations on others, will this would be conducive?" Emily imagined herself saying but preferred to keep the questions to herself.

"It's fine, I was doing something inside," Emily bored and left.

While on his way home, Denzel recieved a call from Daniel.

"Is there a problem?" He asked on picking the call.

"We have the man in our custody," Dan answered.

"I'm on my way," he hanged up and changed the direction heading to the warehouse.

With the highspeed he was driving at, it didn't take long before he reached the warehouse and the man was tired on a seat.

Looking at the guy and remembering he was so close to shoot him the other day, he felt his anger rising.

A seat was brought for him and he sat Infront of the man raising his head to look him in the eye.

"Who sent you?" He asked in a cold emotionless voice but he didn't respond.

"Give it to me," he instructed one of his boys and some acid was poured in a glass for him.

"Do you know what I do to people who don't talk?"

"I teach them because there is power in communication," he added and dropped one drop of the acid on his leg and he didn't flinch.

He dropped some more and he tried removing his leg but he was tied not enabling him to move.

"You still don't want to talk? Who sent you?" He asked again but he didn't reply.

He poured the whole content on one leg and the the guy screamed, the pain as the acid peeled of his skin was unbearable.

"Some more, is this guy deaf or something?" He asked his boys.

"No sir, he said he won't tell us anything,"  Omar one of his men spoke.

"Ok, that sounds interesting, I like dealing with such people. Loyal to their bosses,"  Denzel smirked and started pouring the content in the glass slowly on the other leg as he screamed.

"I will talk," he said between the wails.

"I told you, I know how to make people talk but I'm not a bad guy, if you had talked earlier we won't have gotten here. Start talking, who sent you,"

     "Lion," he spoke immediately.

Lion always tried attacking him and his business but this time he went to far by planning to shoot him by a sniper.

"Lion, lion, lion, calls himself lion and behaves like a cat," he said getting up.

"Dan, take care of him but make sure he isn't dead," he instructed heading to the door.

He really wanted to go home as it was getting late but had to sort one matter first. He parked his car outside the huge building and got down.

He was known in that side of the world and none of the guards stopped him.

So many girls were on the dance floor, some had partners while some were alone.

He walked past then and took the stairs heading to the underground club. He wanted to kill him, so instead of sending people, he would take himself and end all this nonsense.

Lion had three stripers next to him having  fun when Denzel arrived and he flinched seeing him, pushing the girls of him.

"To what do I owe this visit?" Lion asked nervously.

"You know I have been receiving information that you are looking for me and it seems urgent so I thought being as considerate as I am I shouldn't stress you out so I brought myself," he replied in a calm voice sitting opposite him.

"Right now I don't have any business that can interest you, I haven't been looking for you,"

"I came for a man to man talk. Only cowards play hide abd seek and I really want to believe you are not one. If you have a problem with me just look for me and don't send people we are both above that," he added got up and walked past all the women lusting after him.

Lion didn't understand him and by the time the few he had disappeared, Denzel was already gone the he remembered the guy he sent could it be that he opened up and tell Denzel everything. If he did why did Denzel act so calm as if nothing happened?

It was midnight when he got home and he met Purity's small body rolled up on one corner of the couch asleep. Seems like she was waiting for him, something that touched his heart. She did care for him.

He walked to her and stared at her sleeping face for a while fighting in him whether to wake her up or not.

"She must really be tired after waiting for so long she should have just gone to bed. Did she eat?" He asked himself and carried her upstairs to bed.

He has never cooked though once in a while he used to watch Emily cook, he decided to make her breakfast in the morning to make up for the torture he made her go through.

If it hadn't been for that bastard he won't be home late, they will have to talk when she wakes up.

He tacked her to bed and laid next to her remembering what Emily told him. If it were somebody else, having the first daughter of the Wilson family in your house is like signing a death warrant but he wasn't scared.

He was more powerful than them and there is nothing they will do him after all he wasn't even planning on returning her to them.
