"I appreciate everything you have been doing for me but I shouldn't get used to all this, this is not my home," Purity replied.
"You can make this your home, what do you think?" He arched his eyebrows.
"Sooner or later my grandpa will know I'm missing and you will be in deep trouble if they find me here,"
"You care about what happens to me?"
"Yes, the same way you cared for me when you helped me. If not for anything at least I should return the favor,"
"After lunch, we will go to my pent house, then allow me handle everything," he said tasting the food.
"How is it?" She asked nervously.
"Let me eat, you should also eat to add weight, is that not what your friend said the day you talked to him?"
"I would have wanted to talk to him but I guess by now they are tracking his every move," she shrugged.
"Can you tell me more about your cousin, Georgina?" He requested.
"She didn't study in the country and I rarely go to family dinners. I don't know much about her, I think we have met only three times. We don't get along because she said I'm a weakling and she is rude. Why do you ask about her? How did you know her?"
"In the business world you know so many people from the same world, it surprised me that I didn't know you," he responded.
"She has a soft side though, she shows to people her class. I can say she is good,"
"Hmmm," was all he said.
After the meal she decided to try on the clothes.
"I want to try the clothes,"
"I should give you space in the room?"
"No, you bought them, you can tell me of it's good,"
Seems like he knew her size as all the dresses fitted her perfectly revealing her curves.
"Thank you so much, if you ask me, you didn't have to spend so much on me," she appreciated coming from the bathroom with the last dress.
It was a flowered round knee-high dress showing off her slender legs and pure skin. Her hair was tied in a messy bun with few strands across her face blending the look.
She looked beautiful and could get any man off his feet at first sight and he wasn't an exception. He was lost staring at her not listening to what she was saying.
"A penny for your thought?" She asked tapping him.
"You said?"
"I have been talking to myself for a long time, what were you thinking about? Hope all is well with work,"
"All is well, we can go now,"
She stuffed the clothes in a bag he gave to her and he carried it downstairs as she followed him.
Sandy was happy when Wilson announced the dinner at the family house, she wasn't going to cook for the night.
She rushed to her room to prepare for the dinner, she had to look her best to intimidate Georgina who always kills the day.
Her dressing code is always upto taste but not last time because Sandy managed to beat her to it and she wanted the same again.
She looked through her closet and she didn't have a new clothes.
"I need to do some shopping," she said to herself as she headed to Purity's room.
Purity has good clothes but rarely uses them, the last time she killed the day, it was Purity's dress and nobody would mind if she takes another dress today.
She went through Purity's closet and picked a royal blue long dress with a diamond pair of high heels then went to dress up.
As she walked down the stairs looking her best, Rita got up from the couch.
"How do I look mom?" She asked with a smile but Rita's reply shocked her.
"Don't you have your own clothes? Go, remove that and use your clothe," she instructed and she more than anybody else knew Rita was not joking.
"But this is not the first time I'm wearing her clothes after all she doesn't wear them,"
"Did you hear what I said?" Sandy turned and went to change the dress.
She returned the dress and the shoes back opting to go shopping later and avoid any further embarrassment.
She used her pink dress, it was the only that she hadn't worn for a long time. She just used it once to visit her boyfriend and she was sure Dave won't see her today.
Seeing her, Rita headed outside and she followed none of them talking to the other.
It was just four days since Purity disappeared and everything was a mess that Rita was starting to think in the direction of getting a maid.
She was so angry that she didn't see everything her daughter was doing for the family and just supported someone who was out to destroy her family.
There was no traffic and it didn't take long before they arrived at the house. They were the first to arrive and Greg's family wasn't there yet.
Sandy sat at the far end of the living room as Gina and her brother, Tony entered the house, as always her dressing code was something else.
"Look who we have here," Gina commented seeing her.
"Hello Gina, hello Tony" she greeted them calmly.
"Sandy, you look good," Tony commented and she felt like he was mocking her.
"I wonder why this time she didn't use Purity's clothes or maybe the poor girl has found some strength to fight," Gina said and she faced down.
Gina already knew, last time she looked good because it was Purity's dress and not hers.
"Is anybody home?" Gina's mom called from outside and they all kept quiet, Sandy sighed with relief as she was just saved from being insulted.
"Gina, you guys drive quite fast," Greg commented seeing them.
"Hello Sandy," Greg greeted her.
"Hello uncle, hello aunty," she greeted both of them.
"Dad you should make yourself comfortable, I want to go to the kitchen and help the maids with whatever they need," Gina spoke looking at Sandy with a smirk.
"What time did you arrive Sandy?" Greg asked.
"Thirty minutes ago," Sandy replied.
"Dad we arrived just now," Gina chipped in before being asked.
"She didn't even offer a helping hand? What kind of daughter did my brother raise?" Greg asked and Sandy looked up to face Gina, she couldn't miss the smirk that was on her face.
She got up and headed for the kitchen leaving then there and Sandy followed her smiling mischievously.
"Hello, cousin," Sandy greeted again reaching the kitchen and the maids just ignored them and continued with their work.
"What do you want from me?" Sandy asked.
"What can I want from you? We are not in the same class, we are not related, I only have one cousin, Purity and you are not my type," Gina shrugged.
"What can I help you with?" Sandy asked the maids ignoring her.
"We are done, we just need to take all this bowls on the table," the head chef responded and Sandy picked one bowl heading to the living room.
Gina did the same, there is no way she was going to look like the bad person. As they finished bring the bowls, everyone was seated and they did the same.
"It has been long we had a family dinner and I thought at such a crucial we need this," the old man spoke.
"Let's enjoy the dinner dad," Greg said.
"We should not forget that my first granddaughter is missing,"
The whole table went silent with only the sound of cutleries being heard.
"Sandy, is there something we need to know about the missing of my first granddaughter?" The old man asked after they were done with the meal.
"No grandpa, I don't know where she is," She replied immediately.
"Sandy every Sunday you send your sister to get you drinks from that bar at two but this particular Sunday you send her at six thirty and twenty minutes after she arrives at the bar, it is being attacked. Don't you think it's more than just a coincidence?" Greg asked.
"Sandy you drink?" Gina asked.
"I can't plan that, I don't even know the people who attacked the bar" Sandy replied.
"But you can plan theft in your father's account?" Greg asked.
"What are you talking about?" Wilson asked.
"Two weeks ago two million was transferred from your account to an unknown account and till today you are trying to trace the account, stop the investigation brother because your saint daughter did it with the help of her boyfriend Dave," the silence on the table was so much that even a pin fall could be heard.
Sandy shifted uncomfortably on the seat. Dave had promised her it was a clean job and nobody will find out but who was she kidding, this was the Wilson family.
Sandy shifted on her seat uncomfortably.
"How did you know?" Wilson asked, he really didn't want to believe Sandy can go that far remembering the fact that he sends monthly allowance into her account. "Big bro don't be naive, you don't know what your daughter is capable of? You called Aaron to investigate the matter, he works for the family but he wasn't the one who found out Dave is connected to Sandy. Don't you know you are dealing with a criminal?" Wilson was using all the energy in him to keep calm but deep inside he was boiling in anger and wanted to strangle her to death. "Send me every detail of that guy and I will deal with him and you, I need my money sent to my account in the next two hours. No money will be sent to you for six months and you will not leave the house neither will you have your phone,"Sandy's face fell, she was grounded at a point where she needed her phone and money the most, in two hours where will she get $2M. The money was transferred to Dave's account and he wanted t
Drops of sweat were on her forehead with few strands of hair. He bent down on her level finding her cute with guilt in him. Guilty for leaving her alone in the big house that she had to sleep in the cold, but she is stubborn how could she sleep in the cold leaving all the comfortable beds in the house? He touched her face to wipe away the sweat and help push back her hair to find out she was burning with fever. "Damn it!" He cursed picking her up. Fear built up in him, fear that something bad may happen to her. Looking at her face it was clear that she cried herself to sleep making him blame himself for leaving and being the cause of his tears.Whatever she did on him, she surely did succeed. He laid her on the bed and rushed to the bathroom to get water and a towel. The last thing he needed now was to allow Vanessa into this house, he has just had enough of her and needs a new doctor, a male would be better this time.He wiped her with the wet towel till the temperature re
"There is no food in his fridge and you are scared to tell me? I know my son and I understand if there is no food, give me what is there," Emily said with a smile and she smiled back. "I was thinking if preparing some noddles that's what is available and there is milk, not forgetting water," "Give me the milk. I'll just call him as you get the milk for me," Emily said. "Ok mom," she responded as Emily walked out but she heard her quite well, she called her mom, could she br the girl he is in love with? No way, she should have known. She won't mind if this lady becomes his wife, she looks better than the rude, proud and arrogant girl they brought home for him. "I'm in the house and there is no food, are you on a mission of starving someone's daughter to death?" Emily asked immediately he picked. "Hey, who am I starving to death?" Denzel asked back. "This pretty damsel in your house, a is she anyway?" "I'm on my way home and I'm coming w
It was too tempting, what he will benefit from Wilson family is mouthwatering and knowing his son perfectly it will be hard convincing him, how will they survive without money? "Let me see the document," Wayne requested with a calm voice, he can't lose everything in one day.Denzel has always been fast with the computer and he quickly typed a document with all the conditions he wanted, put in his electric signature, printed it out and handed it to her.Reading the document, Wayne was shocked, there was no room for negotiation and if he goes against the contract he loses including the house, the cars and any privileges they got from being his family. "What is this?" "Last I checked, you understand English perfectly so are you in or out?" "I'll be losing everything because of your good? Do you know what you will benefit by marrying from that family?" "You lost right over my life long ago so what I do with my life is nolonger your business. If I get mar
How was he supposed to explain to her that two bottles can't have that great of an impact on him and all he wanted was to ask her without questions. In his life every person he held dear just disappeared and he wanted an assurance that if he opens his heart to her, she won't leave. "Some work matters, I only wanted to get my mind from all the stress," He lied. "Come and sit hear," she requested patting beside her and he did. "Ever since I came into your house, you have made sure am comfortable. I know maybe you don't trust me that much to tell me your company problems, but I'm not stupid, I can help you. If anything is disturbing you, alcohol is not a solution, they say a problem shared is a problem half solved. You can share it with me at least I won't tell anybody, we are just the two of us in this house. Friends are supposed to have each other's back, you have always had mine, let me have yours," she added. He looked at her and smile though it was forced, he didn't wa
Sandy was confused since she woke up all she was receiving were glares that for a moment she thought she had died and she was receiving those glares from angels who were shocked to see her in heaven after everything she had done but when the door opened and Dave was brought in with two guards, the heat in the room changed.Dave stood before all of them with his head bowed awaiting judgement. "What do you have to say about that thing growing in her?" Greg asked and Sandy felt like she was just dipped on ice. "What thing?" Dave asked not wanting to believe what he was thinking was true. "Young man, I hate repeating myself, what do you know about that pregnancy?" "Nothing sir," Greg laughed. "Wilson you see," Greg commented sarcastically. "According to our family, no child is born out of wedlock and since you are man enough to impregnate a girl then you are man enough to take care of your responsibility. Your wedding will be at the end of the month and
He stares at her picture on his phone and smiles. He took the picture yesterday unawares and it was a good capture. For the first time in his life he had this wonderful and fun weekend in the house. Unfortunately Emily had to leave so early to go back to work but Purity was still there. Someone knocked on the door disrupting his thoughts and his expression changed. "Come in," he said and his secretary entered the office. "What is it Alex?" "Sir, a granddaughter from the Wilson family is here to see you," Alex responded. "Her name?" Denzel asked though he knew who it was. He just wondered if that lady understood English because last he checked he warned her from coming any close to his property. "Georgina Wilson," "Let her in," Denzel authorized and he bowed walking out.Georgina cat-walked into the office her head raised high. "What do you want?" He questioned in a cold voice startling her. "I came to see you," "What do you want f
As time went by, Sandy started digesting what was happening to her. First she is pregnant then she is supposed to get married to Dave? It must be a nightmare she wants to wake up. Of all people in the this world, it can be someone else but not Dave, she may be in love with him but he doesn't believe in marriage. Come to think of it, what did they talk about? Her uncle seemed calm but Dave was anxious, whatever they did to him or plan to do to him is not close to good.Nobody has talked about if they will support her in her marriage, how is she going to be a mother and a wife at twenty three. Such has never been on her list. What will she even teach her kid? Will he or she even respect her? What about her dreams, her future? Are all going to go down the drain?Since that day she has never set her eyes on Dave? She is locked up in that room and the only person she sees is Anna who brings her food. Don't they need to talk? She can't be in this alone. "Karma is a bigger bitch,
