It was late in the evening when Ryan pulled up at Lara’s home to see the compound was filled with different expensive cars and the soft music playing inside the house sailed into his ears.

He remained seated in the car even after his driver, Smith killed off the roaring engine. Truly, he had no interest in Lara’s party but after Lara informed him that his mom would be attending he knew there was no escape plan for him. She’d see through all of his excuses and that could mean trouble. The last thing he wanted was for the woman to mount more pressure on him regarding his non-existent union with Lara.
